We have baby chicks!! 🐥

We originally incubated a few of our chickens eggs when roostie went missing because we wanted to hatch some of rooster's babies.

But then 9 days later he came home and I didn't have the heart to turn the incubater off so we have 4 beautiful chicks. They were born 2 days ago. They are healthy and thriving. They spend 6-8 weeks inside before moving to the coop.

You won't believe what happened 2 days ago!?!?

It's been 11 days since we came home to feathers everywhere and 1 hen missing, 1 hen with 2 missing toes and a missing rooster.

Then, 2 days ago, while I'm making dinner, I heard cockadoodling outside my window and ran outside to find this guy!!!

Mr Rooster came home!! Unharmed. I don't know where he went for 9 days, where he slept or what he ate but he's home and I'm so happy.

I have a feeling he ran after whatever attacked our hens and got lost or something. PS all our hens are ok too. One has 2 less toes but is happy as can be.
