Pink Shirt Day began in 2007 in Berwick, Nova Scotia, when two high school students, David Shepherd and Travis Price, witnessed a Grade 9 student being bullied for wearing a pink shirt. They purchased and distributed pink shirts to classmates, encouraging everyone to wear pink in solidarity. This act of kindness quickly spread, inspiring a national movement to raise awareness about bullying and promote inclusive communities.
