This past summer, I had the unfortunate experience of needing an emergency appendectomy. I remembered the story that my family doctor shared with me years ago when she was excited to hear I was starting to study Chinese medicine. A patient of hers was in China, and his appendix burst. I cannot remember the reason why he didn't get surgery there, but I do remember the part she shared where he went to a TCM hospital and they gave him herbal medicine and a poultice to make him comfortable on the plane ride home. By the time he got home and on the surgery table, almost a week later, he was stable, had no signs of infection and they were able to clean everything up for him and he recovered very well. Becoming a staple in travel, and always in my first aid kit...Yin Qiao San made it all the way to Patagonia! Flew through security in my carry on bag no problem and immediately stopped those first sniffles post airplane ride for my family. We enjoyed a wonderful family vacation and made it home safe and sound. Today is my first day back in my clinic and I'm happy to see all of my patients smiling faces again! Today a patient shared with me that not only has she benefited from the energetic shielding techniques I've taught her, but that she is also teaching them to her children. "My children have upgraded! They are totally new kids. What would have set them off before, they are now so different and even calm in those situations".

It brings me so much joy to hear that my patients are teaching the next generations these types of skills.

Hi 👋 let me re-introduce myself. I am Dr. Cindy, wife to my college sweetheart and mom to two littles. I started off in Sciences, neuroscience specifically, majoring in Pyschology. I was pre med prior to making the change in my career path and switching to Chinese Medicine. I absolutely love what I do and am very blessed to have such supportive family, friends and patients who have grown with me as I've evolved my practice and created my home based clinic. I love to treat mental health, addictions, pregnancy and fertility, children, and sports injuries. I treat a lot of pain cases such as migraines, low back/hip pain, sciatica, neck pain, etc. I have spoken at conferences and universities around North America and have been invited to speak at multiple conferences in Europe and Asia (one day when my kids are older I will say yes to these invitations). I also practice Reiki and enjoy helping my patients reach their treatment goals through acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, and herbal medicine. When I'm not in the clinic, you can find me at the climbing gym, mountain biking with my kids or hiking in the mountains with my friends. I am open to new clients and look forward to helping you with your chief complaints and treatment goals 💖

Easy to use and travel size! My patient sent me this photo of my herbs on her trip in Mexico🌞 with a note that says "I hope sales are good! This thing works!" She reached out to pick up the herbs prior to her trip so she could keep herself and her family healthy through all of the transportation and shared resort spaces. Thank you for the feedback!

My son has had his second migraine this year. I used to get them when I was a kid as well. I remember my mom taking me to appointments and doing a special diet to rule out what my trigger was. By avoiding my trigger, I would only get them once in a blue moon. They never fully went away until I was a student at Chinese medicine school. I remember the moment vividly. A fellow student 2 years ahead of me needed a patient during her clinical hours. The needles went in, and i remember feeling the release in my head (and in my tail bone from an old injury!). Except when I have a head cold, I have never, yes, never, had a headache since. And migraines...not even something I think about for myself. Lucky for my son, he has me, and a clinic, at home! Now to rule out his triggers...triggers for children can be:
*stress/anxiety
*over exertion
*diet
*viral infection
*injury
*weather...

Save the date! October 13, 2022 from 6-8pm. Join me for a relaxing evening of community Acupuncture. This style of Acupuncture is used frequently by patients looking to quit smoking, drug and alcohol addication, to help with weight loss and food addictions, pain in the body, headaches and migraines, anxiety, PTSD and mental health conditions, digestion ailments, etc. It is also commonly practiced with Acupuncturists Without Borders at high stress sites (such as war zones or environmental emergencies-floods, tsunamis, etc.).

How adorable is this photo?! A new mama and her babe, conscious of their health and well being. Together, learning and growing. Today this little champ came in for some assistance during a growth develpment stage. Babies and small children respond very fast to acupuncture and/or acupressure treatments. Colicky, teething, rashes, constipation....Chinese medicine is a great natural remedy!

Its small business Saturday. When you come visit me at clinic, you're not just benefitting your own health and well being, you're helping me provide for my loved ones in this photo. Not seen when you enter my doors, is my husband, mom or mother in law, playing with my children so that I can be there for you. What you may not know is that my son begs for acupuncture weekly, my daughter begs for acupressure and massage daily, and if it were not for Covid, they would want to be in the room supporting you to. In the past, my son would "rub" a pregnant women's feet or hips while I helped prepare her body for birth. Or they would play with another womens children so that she could have a break and receive treatment without having to worry about child care. My son would frequently receive acupuncture as a model to show another child not to be frightened and then stay for their treatment (all of this requested and with permission of course). This is my family, we are a village, and everyone helps in one way or another so that I can help you❤
