Our Language & Literacy Camps are designed for young children who benefit from extra support in speech, language, and communication skills.

Led by expert Speech-Language Pathologists, graduate clinicians, and Tanya Sloane—recognized by Apraxia Kids for advanced training in Childhood Apraxia of Speech—your child will be guided with care and purpose.

Designed for children ages 3-8 years, our camps offer a unique blend of educational activities and fun-filled experiences tailored to meet the needs of each camper.

Led by Speech Language Pathologists, Graduate Level Clinicians, and Tanya Sloane, recognized by Apraxia Kids for her advanced training and expertise in Childhood Apraxia of Speech, our campers will receive top-notch care and attention every step of the way.

Each day, campers will enjoy personalized sessions with a Speech Language Pathologist or supervised Speech-Language Pathology student, focusing on their specific goals and needs. Plus, our group activities are designed to enhance communication, attention, social interaction, and literacy skills.

Pathways offers preliteracy groups aimed at preschool to grade 2 students who may have speech and language delays/disorders, learning disabilities, or a family history of reading disorders like dyslexia. These groups focus on developing foundational skills such as rhyming, phonics, auditory recognition of sound, sound/word manipulation, segmentation, and early spelling.

Our groups are not intended to teach reading or spelling but to equip children with the skills needed to become independent readers and spellers in the future.

The groups are designed by Registered Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) and Speech Language Assistants (SLA). Weekly sessions, led by SLAs with SLP consultation, last 1 hour over 10 weeks. Parents/guardians are asked to attend one educational session led by an SLP during the program, focusing on techniques for home use with an opportunity for group discussion.

Approximately one month before the start, an SLP will have a 20-minute screening appointment with each child to ensure that your child is grouped appropriately. An important note, to ensure the best learning environment for each child, we will be suggesting group placements after the screenings have been completed.

Existing clients, please discuss with us if this can be done in a treatment session.

• Must be able to attend and sit independently for 15 minutes in a group setting
• Speaking in full phrases consistently
• Must be toilet trained
