Speech & Language Assessments at Pathways Pediatrics
For children 12 months and older

Pathways offers comprehensive speech and language assessments for young children, along with ongoing private therapy for families who would like continued support.

You do not need a referral to get started. Families are welcome to use private insurance benefits or pay privately for services.

What to expect:�
🔹 A thoughtful, child-centred assessment process�
🔹 Most assessments begin with a 1-hour appointment�
🔹 Extra time may be recommended based on your child’s unique needs�
🔹 Full report available if requested or clinically appropriate�

3 to 5 Year Old Play & Language Groups
Tuesdays, September 9, 2025 to November 11, 2025

Our Play and Language Groups are led by Speech-Language Assistants and/or Speech-Language Pathologists with extensive experience. These sessions are designed to provide early intervention in a fun, nurturing environment. Through themed play, children will build the foundations of play and social development, including:
• Taking turns
• Sharing
• Negotiating and problem-solving

These early skills are essential for strong communication and language growth.
Eligibility
• Children must be able to follow simple routine directions.
• Children (ages 3–5) should have a minimum of 20 words (spoken or through another form of communication).
• Parents are not required to attend, but are welcome if needed.
• Children who are not toilet trained are welcome, but must attend with a parent or aide.

1. Consistency is key! Our campers will have speech sessions with the same therapist every day for five days in a row.
2. Tailored group activities: Once we have the goals of your child, we plan our group activities to include their targets.
3. Safe and nurturing environment: Some children don’t interact with anyone else who has speech errors until they come to our camp and feel less alone.
4. Evidence-based treatment: Our approach ensures your child receives the most effective and proven therapy techniques.

Consistent, one-on-one sessions with a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) are crucial for Apraxia progress. During camp, your child will have 5 one-on-one sessions throughout the week. Give your child the best opportunity to develop their unique voice.
