Today we’re proud to share that FACE has achieved Impact Genome verification through the Impact Genome Registry.

The Impact Genome is a global standard for measuring and validating social impact. Through this independent review, our programs were evaluated using recognized outcome frameworks to measure the difference they make for individuals with neuromotor conditions and their families.

For our donors and supporters, this verification offers added confidence that your support is creating real, meaningful outcomes. For FACE families, it recognizes the dedication and progress of every participant in our programs.

Flashback Friday is here and today we’re celebrating one of our amazing kiddos! 💙
This young man has been part of FACE since 2014. He first joined us at just 18 months old and has been a regular in our after school programs and summer camps ever since.

He absolutely loves coming to FACE and the excitement he brings through the doors each day is contagious! With his bright smile and incredible energy, he lights up the room and truly loves being part of the group. Over the years he has made so many friends and completely stolen the hearts of our staff.

Just look at how much he has grown! We’re so proud to watch his journey and can’t wait to see all the amazing things still ahead for him. 💫

Who knew something that looks like a giant peanut could do such BIG things?!? 🥜

In Conductive Education, our peanut ball is a total game changer. It helps us work on core strength, balance, posture, coordination… all while feeling more like fun than hard work.

Because many of our participants spend much of their day in wheelchairs, getting out, weight-bearing, and activating those muscles is so important for bone density, circulation, mobility, and reaching individual goals.

The peanut ball gives us the perfect mix of support and challenge. Stable enough to feel safe, dynamic enough to wake up those muscles!

We use it for reaching, weight shifting, transitions, crawling practice, and so much more. It turns “exercise” into purposeful play — and we love seeing the confidence grow right along with the strength 💛

Big goals. Little peanut. Mighty results. 🥜💪

Big news from FACE 💛
We’re proud to launch FACE Forward — a new initiative focused on growing our programs, strengthening our space, and expanding access to Conductive Education for Calgary’s neurodiverse community.
Thanks to an incredible $80,000 Capacity Building Grant from Calgary Foundation, we’ll be making facility improvements, expanding outreach, and building stronger connections with families and supporters. Our goal? More capacity, more enrollment, and long term sustainability so FACE can continue to thrive.

At Face, movement is never just movement. It is a spark we protect and a fire we gently build. 🔥

Motivation is the magic ingredient, so we get creative. We lean into intentional drive and purposeful play, turning favorite toys into powerful tools. In this moment, we are using a few of his most-loved treasures to encourage crawling. What looks like play is actually skill-building in action. Every reach, every shift of weight, every determined scoot forward is progress.

Because many of our participants use wheelchairs for most of their day, getting out of the chair and onto the floor is essential. Floor time supports bone density, strengthens muscles, improves mobility, boosts circulation, and most importantly, moves each person closer to their individual goals.

It is not just about getting from point A to point B. It is about building confidence, independence, and reminding the body what it is capable of. One purposeful push at a time. 💛

Flashback Friday is back, and this week we’re shining the spotlight on this incredible young gentleman! 🌟
His smile? Absolutely contagious. The kind that sneaks up on you and suddenly the whole room feels lighter. For 12 amazing years, he’s been part of the Face family, starting in our after school program and now thriving in our adult program. Watching him grow over the years has been such a gift.
He shows up ready to work hard every single time, giving his best with determination and heart. And here’s a fun little detail that makes him even more unforgettable… he LOVES pickles! 🥒
Thank you for the joy, the laughter, and the dedication you bring to our program. We are so lucky to have you as part of our Face family. 💛
