🌟 Today, we're sharing a beautiful and reflective poem by our talented Temilayo, titled "Stars." This piece perfectly captures the quiet wonder of observation and the cyclical nature of renewal, mirroring our own journeys.
Stars
A still navy blue background,
A wave of white glow awakens,
The white throws light around the dark background.
The navy background now decorated like a studded designer jacket, A series of connect-the-dots.
I watch and play around making shapes,
A beautiful angle hidden beneath a cape of multiple gas burning sphere’s,
The dry grass below me crunches with each step, bugs sprinting out of the way.
So, they may live another day.
Flowers bloom, appearing more elegant, and classy.
Being dramatic while soaking in the moonlight,
Now orange streaks fight away the navy.
Time for a scene change.
New actors, background, and plot Flowers wilt and begin to die
Sun goes up, the leading role.
Ruling like a king.
Stars hide away.
Resting until their next show
Take a moment to soak in these words. What does it make you feel about the cycles of your own life and the beauty of quiet observation?
