Why do we believe in acupuncture? Because we see regularly that for some conditions acupuncture really works 🙂. Acupuncture is one of the tools we use to increase our productivity levels. It gives us time to rest deeply while it helps improve the qi (energy) of our organs so we function better during our day.

What’s your favourite chilled tea?
Have you ever tried barley lemonade? Barley is frequently used in traditional to dry dampness, improve digestion and energy levels. This tea is made up of one part barley, 12 parts water. The barley is boiled until cooked. Lemon/ lime and sweetener are then added to the barley water to taste.

Chilling out in a classical while stimulating Liver 3 (LR3). LR3 is located in a depression approximately 1 to 1.5 inches from the web space in between your 1st and 2nd toes.
LR3 is a powerful acupoint in to regulate emotional well-being. may use it to alleviate headaches, depression, menstrual pain etc. LR3 used in conjunction with other may also help improve our energy levels particularly when we feel stressed out.

In congee (Asian porridge) is considered a salve for the digestive system. At NWV. we like to experiment with the grains we use to make porridge. Here’s a porridge made from 1 part quinoa, 8 parts water. Quinoa in Traditional Chinese Medicine is warming. Like most grains in quinoa boosts our life force energy.
Today is World Hypertension Day! High Blood pressure ( hypertension) has a reputation as the ‘silent killer.’ Hypertension can also indirectly affect your energy levels. It’s important to have your blood pressure check regularly. Studies are ongoing, but there is evidence that shows may be useful to help lower high blood pressure.

We are big fans 😍😍. Asian rice porridge aka congee is an easy to digest food that is used in traditional to gently tonify qi and blood and improve energy.
Rice congee can be made both savoury or sweet. Throughout the month of May we’ll post some simple pick-me-ups that may help improve well-being when feeling tired, or under the weather.

Here’s a facial detox 😍 that contains rose petals, chamomile, blue cornflour and steaming water. The Chinese character for qi ( our life force energy) shows steam rising from a pot of cooking rice. Steam may be a useful aid for cleansing the skin and/ or the sinuses in the face.
