The normal lab tests, the feeling dismissed or unheard by your doctor…the waiting months for specialist, only to be given more meds or more blood tests or scans.. None of it has to be your reality anymore.

You just need to decide that you’re ready to invest in yourself in your health, in your future and move your care outside of the limitations in the medical system (which are wonderful at acute care/broken bones/emergencies) but when it comes to chronic daily symptoms that impact your energy, your mood, your sleep, your motivation and drive, your confidence - YOUE LIFE.

These things are always within your control (even if you’ve been told otherwise).

You’re doing all the “right” things

Eating clean.
Working out.
Taking supplements.

Most women think they’re “just constipated.”

They try more fibre. More water. Another diet. Another supplement.

And nothing changes! 🫠

This client came to me after 10 years of:
• Constipation

Should you or shouldn’t you supplement omega 3 fatty acids/fish oil?

Also of the thousands we tested when I worked in preventative health (and of the hundreds I’ve tested in my program) over 95% are deficient in omega 3’s.

If you aren’t willing to eat the SMASH fish 🐠 then getting your omega 3’s through high quality supplementation may be a good idea to consider.

Signs of low omega 3 fats:

Dry skin and eyes
Cognitive issues
Joint inflammation
Mood issues (anxiety, depression etc)
Skin conditions

Plus at increased risk for cardiovascular disease alongside the symptoms above.

Your 30’s is not the time to “wait and see” (although it never really is that time 🥹)

It’s the time to build the health you want to have the next 30-40 years of your life.

Because here’s the truth most women get told early enough; perimenopause isn’t a phase you enter overnight!

Rather it’s a slow transition and how you experience it is heavily influenced by what you do in your 30s.

This decade sets the foundation.

If your gut is inflamed, your blood sugar is all over the place you’re running on stress and caffeine and your lifestyle is reactive instead of intentional, peri menopause will feel like a train wreck!

Instead, if you use your 30s to stabilize your blood sugar, support your gut microbiome, restore digestive irregularities, support detox pathways, build muscle, regulate your nervous system and * actually* nourish your body (not restrict it), then perimenopause becomes a transition into the next beautiful chapter of your life, and not a breakdown !

Because hormones don’t just decline. They respond to the environment you’ve created *internally* so no your body isn’t working against you. It’s responding to the input you’ve been giving it for years.

So ladies, your 30s are your leverage point!!

Use these years wisely or you’ll be forced to deal with it later and later is always harder ladies.

Not impossible, I have many clients in their 40’s (me included) even into their 50’s but the 30’s is prime time to address your health wholistically ♥️

Available to women in Canada, best suited for women in their cycling years and perimenopausal (with fairly regular cycles but symptomatic, so that we can test days 19-21).

This can tell us if you’re still producing progesterone (ovulating), about your estrogen levels and the detox pathways they go through, your cortisol levels, testosterone levels and more.

Testing can be worth it if you want a guided plan and to take action on the results. It’s not used to confirm perimenopause, but can help give you direction on next steps to pursue regarding lifestyle, nutrition and potential conversations with your doctor regarding MHT (aka you can have more confidence going into that visit knowing your body could benefit from it).

👉🏼 Your labs *aren’t* fine if you have symptoms, even if your doctor says you “fine”

They’re just not bad enough *yet* for your dr to give you a disease (label) or drug to mask the symptom.

And that’s where so many women get stuck…

Because conventional medicine waits for disease to develop and compromise the body SO deeply that bloodwork or your tissues show it on scans.

They’re waiting for a clear breakdown before they can act (even then, you’re given meds to mask symptoms, not address them at the root)

But your symptoms don’t start there my friend, once bloodwork is abnormal 🙅🏻‍♀️

They start years earlier, even decades for some
people. It’s the little things that have been brushed off month after month, year after year.. the visits that have led nowhere..

Before you know it your gut is off
Your hormones shift
When energy is depleted
When mood and motivation goes down

And none of that shows up clearly on standard bloodwork.

That’s because blood is VERY tightly regulated.

Your body will keep it looking normal (to keep your heart beating and body breathing) even when things underneath are not.

Those “normal” ranges are also based on averages of the general sick population - not on *optimal* human health 🤨

I know this because I’ve worked for 18 years as a Registered Nurse. The healthcare system isn’t failing you.

It’s not broken.
It’s just not built for what most women actually need in their 30/40/50’s.
