The news is heavy these days, and recent world events have repercussions that affect us ALL. It is incredibly important to stay informed and engaged, plan, discuss, and donate where you can to make a difference. We need to do all of this while continuing to fulfill the roles that we currently hold in life: care-givers need to give care, providers need to provide, we need to treat each other and ourselves with respect and grace. Whew! Challenging to find balance, for sure.

So where do we go when we are feeling overwhelmed. For me, it's often my yoga mat. Space to breathe and shift my perspective. I'm incredibly privileged to live in a safe place and a comfortable home, and I acknowledge that and practice gratitude for it daily. Sometimes flowing and active movement helps, sometimes something a little gentler. If I can't make it to my mat, maybe it's a a short walk with the dog, or even a drive in my car, just taking notice - appreciating.

Practice gratitude, take little breaks, move your body - and stay awake.
