One of the most important (and most overlooked) principles in manual osteopathy is this:

🧠 Your body works as a whole.

That achy low back? It might not just be your back.
That tightness in your hips? It could be related to your posture, your breath, or even how your feet move when you walk.

When you're pregnant or postpartum, your body is in a constant state of adaptation—your center of gravity shifts, ligaments loosen, your breathing changes, your sleep is different, your pelvic floor takes on new roles... and it’s all connected.

💡 Here’s what we look at during treatment:
✔️ How your pelvis and spine are aligned
✔️ How your diaphragm is moving (yes, your breath affects everything!)
✔️ How tension patterns in one area may be causing discomfort in another

Check your breath – Are you breathing shallow or into your belly? Deep diaphragmatic breathing improves circulation and calms the nervous system.

Balance your load – Diaper bags, car seats, groceries… try switching sides regularly so you’re not always overloading one shoulder or hip.

Gentle movement daily – Even 5 minutes of stretching, cat-cow, or supported squats can help keep things mobile and balanced.
