We understand the concerns regarding COVID-19 (the coronavirus) and how it is escalating around the world and within our city. We are taking the necessary precautions to protect all of our practice members, our team and our families to keep the office a place of health and safety for all.

Here is what we are doing, with some suggestions for in and outside of the clinic:

โ€ข For Ideal Protein / Nutrition / Metabolic Balance appointments, you are welcome to request Skype / FaceTime appointments instead of in-person appointments. Orders can be placed through phone / email with Paula or the front desk and picked up at a time designated by Paula before / after office hours. Please know that you are doing the best thing to boost your immune system by continuing with your current nutrition plan!
Please do not let the current situation derail you!

If you are concerned about being around other people, you may call the office at 403-279-2229 from your car or text Lindz at 403-807-7834 once you have arrived for your appointment and we will inform you when it is your turn to head into your adjusting room, massage or other appt

CLEANING: We are striving to increase the cleanliness of the office. We already sanitize the adjusting tables, counters, front chairs, kids cave and front door regularly and we clean the bathroom multiple times per day.
- We will keep an extra bottle of natural cleaner between each adjusting bay so you can clean the surfaces you will be using as you see fit.
- We do multiple loads of laundry per day to ensure the cleanest sheets, bathroom clothes and gowns.
- Please feel free to wash your hands as you see fit, there will be plenty of soap in the washroom. There will also be paper towel in the bathroom for you to use, if you prefer this over our cloth alternative.
- Staff will be routinely washing their hands, workspaces with the same careful habits that have been suggested for everyone.

โ€ข KIDS AREA: We have removed the toys / surfaces that are not easy to clean and will clean the toys and surfaces in the kids cave multiple times per day.

โ€ข EFFICIENCY: As always, we will continue to strive to be efficient in the office and always attempt to have low-wait times, giving you the best care in a timely manner. We donโ€™t ever want you to feel rushed when in the clinic, but we will make our best attempt at keeping a smooth and efficient flow through the office so you can still receive great care.

โ€ข CANCELLATIONS / RESCHEDULES: We pride ourselves on being understanding regarding cancellations and reschedules, especially in a time like this. As always, please provide us with as much notice as possible, even if this means leaving us a voicemail or sending us an email outside of office hours. If you feel ill or are required to self-quarantine, you will not be charged for the appointment cancellation. We do reserve the right to charge for no-show appointments or last-minute cancellations without a valid reason.

โ€ข Stay vigilant, call if you are ill or feel the need to cancel your appointment(s), stay aware of your health. Increase your vitamin C, vitamin D, zinc intake; drink lots of water and fluids; focus on healthy foods โ€“ buy some frozen veggies and fruit, powdered greens and whole foods; be kind to others, we are all doing the best we can for ourselves and our families โ€“ this is just a common courtesy; maintain an exercise regime for as long as possible โ€“ running outside, working out at home are great alternatives to public gyms; gets lots of restโ€“ boost up your nervous system and overall health; and most importantly manage your stress. Stress decreases your immune function, the more you stress the more likely you are to get sick.
And please, do not steal our toilet paper or paper towel, but use as much as you need. ๐Ÿ˜›

Although we are not panicking about the situation and feel confident in our practices, we want to ensure our practice members are well taken care of. Health is our #1 priority, as it is yours. We urge you to keep your appointments to support and improve your overall health, but we also are aware of the gravity of the situation and want to do our part to minimize this virus.

Asian ground turkey and broccoli dish! Great for any phase! ***Requires either Ideal protein oriental sauce or Walden farms Asian sauce

INGREDIENTS

โ€ข 1/2 cup oriental Ideal Protein sesame sauce
โ€ข 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
โ€ข 1/2 cup diced onion
โ€ข 2 tablespoons minced garlic
โ€ข 1 pound Ground Turkey
โ€ข 1 cup chopped broccoli
โ€ข 2 green onions diced, for garnish
โ€ข Cauliflower rice or shirataki noodles for serving

INSTRUCTIONS
1.Heat sauce over medium high heat.
2.Steam or sautรฉ cauliflower rice until tender.
3.Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add diced onions and cook until soft.
4.Crumble ground turkey and garlic into the pan and cook until turkey is about half cooked. Add chopped broccoli and continue to cook until turkey is no longer pink.
5.Pour sauce over cooked turkey and vegetable mixture and stir. Simmer for about five minutes to combine the flavors.
6.Spoon meat over cauliflower rice or shirataki noodles. Garnish with green onions and serve immediately.

Mushroom Stuffed pork tenderloin!

Ingredients

4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for brushing
8 ounces cremini mushrooms, thinly sliced
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 tablespoon crushed garlic and herb soy crisps (in place of breadcrumbs)
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
2 pork tenderloins (2 to 2 1/2 pounds total), trimmed
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest

Directions
Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the mushrooms, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and pepper to taste; cook until the mushrooms are soft, about 4 minutes. Add the garlic and cook 1 minute. Remove from the heat and stir in the crushed garlic and herb soy crisps and all but 2 tablespoons parsley. Let cool.
Soak 10 to 12 toothpicks in water to prevent them from burning. Rinse the pork and pat dry. Butterfly the pork: Make a 1-inch-deep incision down the length of each tenderloin; do not cut all the way through. Open the meat like a book so the tenderloins lie flat.
Cover the pork with plastic wrap; pound with the flat side of a meat mallet until about 1/2 inch thick, starting from the middle and working outward. Spread the mushroom mixture over the 2 tenderloins. Starting with a long side, tightly roll up each tenderloin. Secure the seams with the toothpicks.
Preheat a grill to medium high; brush the grates with olive oil. Brush the pork rolls with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Grill, turning, until a thermometer inserted into the center of the pork registers 140 degrees F, 25 to 30 minutes. Transfer to a cutting board to rest, about 10 minutes. Enjoy!

Just real, whole foods!

You are simply building on the base of proteins and veggies that you have learned in phase 1, except we add some healthy fats(avocado, cheese, nuts, olive oil, coconut) and complex carbs (fruit, whole grains, beans, root veggies) into your day! Moderation is my motto for phase 4! You will have all your favorite foods again, but it's key to understand when and how often you should in order to maintain your new found health!
