Happy New Year!
Ringing in the New Year has always been a time for reflection of the past year and hopes of a positive year ahead with an abundance of health, wealth and happiness!
I’m looking forward to seeing you this upcoming year in the clinic. I am so grateful for all of your support over this past year as it was full of challenges that turned into gifts. I can’t thank you enough for your patience, kind messages and compassion.
For the New Year we historically use this time to set resolutions, declare what we want to change in our lives and set our goals for the upcoming calendar year.
According to the ancient Sages/Taoists in Chinese medicine winter is the greatest time of Yin. That dark part of the Yin/Yang symbol, Yin represents the stillness, winter, cold days and long nights. It’s time too hibernate, slow down, to contemplate life and nourish ourselves. In other words “Just Be”.
I find this a good time to set goals, to figure out what we need and want. Then get rid of the things that don’t serve us and add in things that do. I think these goals should be gentle and inspired by our unconditional self love.
This list resonated with me and inspired this newsletter:
Eat like you
love yourself
Speak like you
love yourself
Move like you
love yourself
Think like you
love yourself
Act like you
love yourself
We are living in intense times, the only things we have control over is how we take in information and how we respond. Kindness spreads to every living being…it takes one kind act to multiply to many, let’s keep it spreading.
I will continue to offer a wide variety of modalities: TCM, acupuncture, sound therapy, acupressure/massage, cupping and listening. I’m excited about advancing my knowledge and sharing it with all of you!
I’m a huge believer in the Taoist teachings of Flowing like water.
“The Supreme good is like water, that nourishes all things without trying to”
