Our recent Alethea Learning Session with Dr. Nathan Thakur offered a comprehensive, evidence-based overview of PRP in musculoskeletal medicine, highlighting when it works, why not all PRP is the same, and how primary care clinicians can determine which patients are most likely to benefit from regenerative therapies.

Dr. Thakur reviewed the evolving science of orthobiologics, the conditions with the strongest evidence for PRP (including knee OA and specific tendinopathies), and the technical factors that influence outcomes such as platelet concentration, injection accuracy, and rehabilitation protocols. Our network continues to grow! 🌐

We’re proud to now have 2,100+ active users, including 128 specialists across 47 specialties, making Alethea the most comprehensive eConsult service in Western Canada.

Earlier this month, our management team attended the FNHMA National Conference – Celebrating and Sharing Our Inherent Knowledge in Health Leadership and Management.

This gathering brought together over 600 delegates, including healthcare leaders, community decision-makers, and academics, to share knowledge and strengthen health management practices across Indigenous communities. Indigenous communities in Alberta continue to face systemic barriers in accessing equitable healthcare — from limited specialist availability to a lack of culturally safe care.

At Alethea, we’re committed to helping bridge these gaps. Our AI-powered diagnostic tools and specialist eConsult platform are connecting Indigenous physicians with culturally competent specialists, improving access and outcomes for patients who need timely, trauma-informed care. As we look ahead, integrating cultural navigators into the eConsult process represents an important next step in advancing equitable, community-centered healthcare.
