🌍 World Mental Health Day 2025 💚

Behind every badge, uniform, and title — there’s a human being carrying stories most will never see.

According to , nearly 1 in 2 public safety personnel in Canada screen positive for at least one mental health condition: 21% for PTSD, 27% for anxiety, and 26.9% for mood disorders. These aren’t signs of weakness — they’re the result of exposure, service, and sacrifice.

Across Canada, 1 in 5 adults experience a mental health disorder each year, yet only half reach out for help. Too often, stigma keeps people silent — the fear of being judged, of being seen differently, of not being “strong enough.”

💬 Let’s change that narrative. Asking for help is not a failure — it’s courage. It’s the first step toward healing.

Today, and every day, we honour all those who show up despite the weight they carry. You are seen. You matter.

Behind the uniform are human beings who carry the weight of trauma, shift work, and sacrifice. 🚨 In both Canada and the U.S., public safety personnel (from firefighters and police to paramedics, corrections, healthcare, and dispatchers) experience su***de at alarming rates. In fact, studies show they are twice as likely to struggle with suicidal thoughts compared to the general public.

But there is hope. 💛 In keeping with actions that reduce the stigma around mental health supports in PSP organizations, we can keep the conversation going. 📢

🇨🇦 Call or text 9-8-8 (Su***de Crisis Helpline, 24/7), Kids Help Phone (text HOME/PARLER to 686868), Talk Su***de Canada (1-833-456-4566 / text 45645 evenings), Trans Lifeline (1-877-330-6366).

You’ve heard of PTSD, but what is Post-Traumatic Growth? 🌱

Trauma doesn’t only lead to damage; it can also lead to depth, wisdom, and transformation.

With time, support, and reflection, pain can deepen our empathy, reshape our purpose, and reveal parts of ourselves we didn’t know were there.

Growth isn’t about forgetting; it’s about transforming. 🤍

JUNE IS….Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month

At our practice, we walk alongside men who carry heavy burdens with quiet strength.

🚓🚒🚑 First responders are more likely to experience PTSD, depression, and anxiety, yet less likely to seek help.

📊 In Canada, su***de rates among men are 3x higher than women.

👥 44% of first responders report significant mental health symptoms, yet stigma remains a major barrier to support.

This month, we honour the courage it takes to show up for others and the even greater courage it takes to show up for yourself.

💬 Therapy isn’t weakness, it’s training for your mind. Just like you train your body.

We see you. We’ve got you. 🤝
