Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.
Even as the stone of the fruit must break, that its heart may stand in the sun, so must you know pain.

One of my contradictory expeinces as an adult is how one emotion naturally pemdulates and opens the door for a seemingly 'opposite' or contrasting emotion.

Like joy as a door for greif and sadness.

And vise versa

This journey of the last few weeks has been one in reclaiming needs. Of allowing joy to crack my hearts door open to a lasagna of grief that's been locked up for the last few years.

The lifestyle shifts, the people and community's lost, the needs that could no longer be met, the shifts in what safety looks and feels like.

Last night I did a past life hypnotherapy regression at a local yoga studio. The idea with this type of session is it gives your subconscious permission to find and play with themes. That are relevant to what is going on currently.

For me it was about death. It was about loosing all of my self and in the end feeling truely, heart broken and powerless to impact change. And the deep repression needed to maintain this lack of choice and move forward.

Today I heard of an old friends passing.

And thus the pain is cracking. Me open once again.

Grief and joy , joy and grief.

LET YOURSELF REST

If you’re exhausted, rest.
If you don’t feel like starting a new project, don’t.
If you don’t feel the urge to make something new,
just rest in the beauty of the old, the familiar, the known.
If you don’t feel like talking, stay silent.
If you’re fed up with the news, turn it off.
If you want to postpone something until tomorrow, do it.

If you want to do nothing, let yourself do nothing today.
Feel the fullness of the emptiness, the vastness of the silence, the sheer life in your unproductive moments.

Time does not always need to be filled.

You are enough, simply in your being.

Don’t prioritize your looks my friend,
they won’t last the journey.
Your sense of humour though, will only get better.
Your intuition will grow and expand like a majestic cloak of wisdom.
Your ability to choose your battles, will be fine-tuned to perfection.
Your capacity for stillness, for living in the moment, will blossom.
And your desire to live each and every moment will transcend all other wants.
Your instinct for knowing what (and who) is worth your time, will grow and flourish like ivy on a castle wall.
Don’t prioritize your looks my friend,
they will change forevermore,
that pursuit is one of much sadness and disappointment.
Prioritize the uniqueness that make you you, and the invisible magnet that draws in other like-minded souls to dance in your orbit.
These are the things which will only get better.
