Today is a day to celebrate for us at BCI!
3 years ago we completed the construction and opened the doors of our specialty Performance Medicine Clinic that services the performance medicine and rehabilitation needs of our Canadian Olympic, Paralympic and Provincial Sport Organizations in collaboration with the Canadian Sport Institute Alberta as well as our Community Athletes !
We expanded the Clinic to include a Performance Rehabilitation and Multi-Disciplinary Neuro-Rehabilitation Clinic.
We recruited a dream team of leading health care professionals including sport medicine physicians, physiotherapists, athletic therapists, vestibular therapists, developmental neuro-optometrists, exercise physiologists, professional kinesiologists, registered sport psychologist, sport psychiatrists and clinician scientists.
We continue to conduct cutting-edge applied clinical research on sport concussion assessment, management and prevention strategies.
Since opening our doors, we have served:
-Over 1,000 Olympic, National and Provincial high-performance athletes
-Over 2,500 elite community athletes
-Over 3,000 sport-related concussion cases
-Over 4,500 patients for their performance medicine, performance rehabilitation, or sport-related concussion needs
We continue to grow and revolutionize the way sport concussion is assessed, managed and prevented with data-driven decisions and the use of cutting edge technology
