According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, we are in the middle of heart season. While heart season is a time of lots of connection, bliss and vitality, for some people it can feel out of balance.

Your heart may be out of balance if you are experiencing:
Anxiety
Palpitations
Irritability
Insomnia
Dream disturbed sleep
Night sweats
Heaviness in the chest

The best way to nourish the heart is through meditation, time in nature and breathwork.

In addition to the above acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine can help support you and treat the imbalance in your body.

If you are feeling you need a little extra support during this season, our TCMs are available. To book, click the link in bio or visit thewayhc.janeapp.com

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is understood that food has either cooling or warming characteristics.
During the hot summer days, we can help cool our bodies down internally by eating cooling foods.

🌱Some perfect cooling foods to help regulate in the summer heat are:
Watermelon
Lemon
Apple
Pineapple
Summer squash
Radish
Zucchini
Spinach
Cucumber

It's the perfect time of year to eat plenty of salads, and enjoy the juiciness of fruit.

In addition to these cooling foods, mint is a wonderfully cooling herb. If you grow fresh mint in your garden, you can eat it straight from the vine!
Watermelon + mint infused water is a delicious way to stay hydrated and reap the cooling benefits of both watermelon and mint.
