❤️ Holding Space This Mother's Day: Join Us for Motherless Day ❤️
For many, Mother's Day is a time of joy and celebration. But for others, it can be a day filled with complex emotions, grief, or longing. If this resonates with you, or if you know someone who might need a supportive space, we warmly invite you to our Motherless Day event in Calgary.
🗓️ Date: Saturday, May 10th, 2025
⏰ Time: 6:00 PM - 10ish
📍 Location: (834 11th Ave SW, Calgary AB)
This evening is designed to offer community, connection, and gentle healing through the power of music and art. We'll have:
🎶 Live Music from the incredibly talented duo **Caylie G & Madi** and the captivating sounds of **Little Super Dangerous**.
🎤 An **Open Mic** opportunity for anyone who wishes to share in memory of their loved ones through music, poetry, an open letter, or reflection. This is a safe space to share your voice and be heard.
🎨 A gentle and Trauma-Informed Grief Craft, "Make A Paper Flower With a message for your loved one," led by the compassionate therapist Kirsten White from Lark & Raven Wellness Centre for Grief, Trauma, and Holistic Well-being.
✨ Calling all Musicians! ✨ We're also seeking a third featured musical artist to join our lineup! If you or someone you know is interested in performing, please tag them below, send us a direct message or email motherlessday.yyc@gmail.com.
🖼️ Share Your Art! 🖼️ We invite you to submit poetry, photographs, or visual art to be displayed at the event. If you'd like to contribute but don't wish to speak at the open mic or can't attend in person, please send us an email motherlessday.yyc@gmail.com. Let your art be a part of our collective healing.
