Hello, Fall 🍁

It’s the first day of fall here in Calgary, and something about this season always feels like a quiet reset. Many people say fall feels like the real new year—and I’ve been noticing that too.

The days are shifting, the light is changing, and there’s a gentle invitation to slow down, shed what no longer serves, and step into what feels ready to grow.

As we step into this season, I’m curious: What feels new or ready to shift for you this fall?

✨ Tending to what’s here while holding space for you. ✨

Like a lighthouse—steady and present—I’ve been moving a little more quietly lately. And even in the quiet, I remain rooted in this work: walking alongside clients as they navigate their own waters.

For me, therapy is about creating a space where both the heavy and the hopeful can be held—with care, attunement, and curiosity.

I’m warmly welcoming new clients and look forward to supporting the kind of trust, ease, and presence in relationships that allows healing to unfold naturally—together.

💌 If you’re curious about beginning therapy or simply want to connect, I’d love to hear from you.

You’re not “too much.” You were just trying to stay connected.

People-pleasing isn’t a flaw—it’s a survival strategy. One that made sense when being easygoing felt safer than being real.

But your needs aren’t a burden. They’re a compass.
You’re allowed to take up space, ask for care, and be met with warmth.

This is a gentle reminder that your full self is worthy of belonging.

Being the strong one is exhausting.
You hold space. You stay steady.
You bend without breaking.
You carry more than your share—without ever letting it show.

But even trees need soft soil.
Even rivers run dry without replenishment.
Even you need somewhere to land.

Maybe your body is whispering what your mind has learned to override.

Maybe the tiredness isn’t just physical—it’s emotional. Relational. Somatic.

When was the last time you truly felt cared for?
Not for what you do—but simply for being you.

This isn’t about becoming stronger.
It’s about tending to what’s been holding it all.

💛 You don’t have to carry it alone.
My latest blog is a compassionate look at emotional labor, nervous system wisdom, and what your body—like the land—might be longing for.

“How long will this take?”

It’s a question so many of us ask when we begin therapy—and it makes complete sense in a world that prizes speed, self-sufficiency, and measurable outcomes.

But healing doesn’t follow a timeline. It moves at the pace of trust.

In this post, I’m sharing a somatic attachment lens on short-term vs. long-term therapy—not as either/or, but as different ways of being supported. Wherever you are, your pace is valid.

Swipe through to explore what kind of support might feel most right for your system right now.

Sometimes, creating distance from family isn’t about rejection—it’s about protection. Like a turtle retreating into its shell, our nervous system is often doing its best to survive, seek safety, and hold onto dignity in the face of relational pain.

There’s no one-size-fits-all path when it comes to navigating family dynamics. Whether you’re setting small boundaries or taking space to heal, your choices are valid. Complex, yes. But also wise.

You’re not broken for feeling conflicted. You’re human.

Roots in the Ruins: Healing in Uncertain Times

In a world that feels increasingly unstable, many of us are feeling unrooted, facing the impacts of political, economic, and environmental turmoil. But what if the strength we need to weather this storm has always been within us? In times of uncertainty, healing comes not from developing resilience, but from reconnecting with what’s already there—deep within ourselves and our communities.

Healing is both a personal and collective journey, one that requires us to return to what sustains us: relationships, rituals, and community care. 🌍🤝 Together, we can rediscover the resilience that has always been alive in us and face the challenges ahead.

Read the full blog to explore how we can find grounding, even in these turbulent times.

Anxiety isn’t just in your mind—it lives in your body, shaping how you breathe, move, and connect with others. It’s not a sign of weakness but a signal from your nervous system, asking for safety and support.

If you’ve been feeling on edge, overwhelmed, or stuck in cycles of worry, you’re not alone. Understanding anxiety through a somatic and relational lens can help you move from survival mode to a greater sense of ease.

Read the full blog to learn how anxiety shows up in the body and how to heal through connection and nervous system support. * link in bio *
