Therapists are not floating through life healed, enlightened, and emotionally unbothered.

We get overwhelmed.

We get triggered.

We get annoyed in traffic.

The difference? We notice it, own it, and repair.

Human first. Therapist second.

Anything surprise you here? Let’s talk 👇🏼

You’re thoughtful. Insightful. Self-aware. And your mind rarely turns off 🧠

You replay conversations. Second-guess decisions. Wonder if you’re overreacting… or missing something important.

Maybe you’ve been in relationships that left you questioning your reality, your instincts, or your worth.

From the outside, you’re capable and put together. On the inside, you might feel emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand.

If you’ve ever thought:

✨Why do I keep ending up in relationships that hurt me?
✨I don’t trust my judgment anymore
✨I know my patterns, but I don’t know how to change them
✨Why does everything feel so intense or hard to regulate?

You’re not broken.

Your nervous system and experiences have been trying to protect you.

Therapy with Priya .yyc.psychologist focuses on helping you understand your patterns, rebuild self-trust, and process the impact of trauma and high-conflict relationships. Her work blends clarity, structure, and compassion, helping you feel steadier, more grounded, and more confident in your choices.

You don’t have to figure this out alone.

Long-term relationships aren’t sustained by feelings alone. They’re sustained by choice.

Choosing each other, again and again, especially when it’s hard.

In couples therapy, we often talk about intention over obligation. Shared values over ego. Repair over perfection. The strongest relationships aren’t the ones without conflict, they’re the ones willing to turn toward each other in it.

This Valentine’s Day, maybe the invitation isn’t grand gestures.

Maybe it’s reflecting on what you’ve overcome, how you’ve grown, and what continues to anchor your relationship through change.

Choosing each other isn’t passive.

It’s active. It’s purposeful.

And it can be deeply romantic.

✨ We expanded on this idea in our latest blog, read it at the link in our bio.

💖Happy Galentine’s Day to the women who:

✨ remind you who you are when you’re spiralling
✨ celebrate your wins louder than you do
✨ hold space for your breakdowns without making them about themselves
✨ tell you the truth, but with snacks and emotional safety
✨ somehow know exactly when to send a meme, voice note, or “are you okay?” text

📣 Let’s say this louder for the women in the back:

Supportive friendships are elite-level mental health care.

They build confidence. They increase resilience. They remind us we are not meant to life alone.

Strong friendships aren’t just fun, they’re grounding, regulating, and occasionally the reason we didn’t send that email/text/impulsive decision we would’ve regretted later.

This is your reminder to:
✨Check in on the friend who is “fine” but carries everyone else
✨Celebrate the women who support your growth, not just your comfort
✨Let yourself be supported instead of being the emotional support human for everyone else

Friendship isn’t extra. It’s essential. Honestly… it’s the backbone of most of our survival eras.

Tag the friends who have supported you through your biggest life plot twists 👇🏼

You’re capable. Driven. Responsible. And quietly running on empty.

Many of the adults Ashley .therapist supports are high-achieving and used to holding everything together - at work, in relationships, and in daily life.

From the outside, things may look successful and manageable. On the inside, you might feel mentally overloaded, physically tense, or unable to fully rest.

You might notice racing thoughts, burnout, sleep struggles, emotional exhaustion, or feeling like you have to stay “on” all the time just to keep up.

Ashley helps adults who want to keep performing and showing up in their lives, but in ways that are sustainable, regulated, and aligned with who they actually are. Her work focuses on burnout recovery, nervous system resilience, emotional regulation, and learning how to slow down without losing momentum, ambition, or identity.

Clients often leave therapy with Ashley feeling clearer, more balanced, and better equipped with practical tools to manage stress, improve focus, and create lasting change.

You don’t have to wait until you’re completely burnt out to get support.

Our hearts are with the Tumbler Ridge community đź’”

There are no words that feel big enough for moments like this. We are holding space for the grief, shock, fear, and heartbreak so many are experiencing right now. Tragedies like this ripple far beyond one moment, touching families, friends, helpers, and entire communities.

If you are feeling overwhelmed, numb, angry, or deeply saddened, please know these are human responses to something profoundly difficult. You don’t have to carry it alone.

We are thinking of everyone impacted and sending care, compassion, and support to the Tumbler Ridge community 🤍

Early-stage romance is intense and exciting. Long-term love is quieter- shaped by shared experiences, stress, growth, and repair.

Many couples worry when love no longer feels the way it once did. But often, love hasn’t disappeared, it’s matured.

When couples stop comparing their relationship to its earliest version, many rediscover intimacy in a steadier, more resilient form.

Love deepens when it’s allowed to change.

We explore this more in our latest blog on redefining romance in long-term relationships.

Last night’s halftime show felt like more than entertainment. It felt like a reminder.

In a world that can feel heavy, divided, and loud… we were shown something simple but powerful.

Love is louder.
Connection is stronger.
Community matters.
Representation matters.
Culture matters.

Music, art, and storytelling have always been ways humans process pain, celebrate identity, and remind each other that we’re not alone.

Maybe that’s the work right now. Choosing compassion. Choosing connection. Choosing each other, even when it feels hard.

The only thing more powerful than hate is love 🩵
