When we listen to understand we focus on the other person's meaning, not just their words. You stay curious instead of judgmental. It sounds simple, however it is surprisingly hard because it required slowing down our own thoughts and stay out of ego.

This is a pretty powerful statement. Through the boundaries we set, our reactions, and what we tolerate, we indirectly teach others what is acceptable to us and what is not acceptable. It is not about blaming ourselves for other's behaviors, it is about recognizing the influence we have in shaping our relationships.

55% is body language (facial expressions, posture, gestures).
38% is the tone of your voice.
7 % is the actual words you say.
Your body language can either support your words or contradict them. Something to be aware of....
