The holidays can be really hard when you’re grieving. It’s okay to feel sad, angry, or even just… off. Grief doesn’t have a timeline, and it doesn’t take a break for the holidays. This will be my 6th Christmas without my mom and the grief still happens.

Let it Be

Sometimes the very best thing we can do is to simply let it be.

Whatever it is that we're hanging onto too tight hoping for something or someone to change even though we know they won't, forcing something that's just not meant to arrive yet.

Maybe we can just take a huge breath in and out and then release.

Just let it be. Let things be how they are instead of how we think they should be.

Let other people be other people. Let circumstances be what they are...

And letting them be doesn't mean that they're right or perfect by any means; it just means that we won't carry the heavy weight of the circumstances and people beyond ourselves. 💫
