A tight jaw, stiff shoulders, or a short fuse…
Pause.
Come back to right now.
The Practice: Be Here Now
Notice what your body is doing in this exact moment.
Name what you see, feel, and hear — without judgment.
👁️ “I see the light on the wall.”
👂 “I hear the hum of the heater.”
🤲 “I feel my feet on the floor.”
Breathe into what is real and here.
Your mind may want to leap forward into fear, or back into old pain — that’s what it’s used to.
But your body? It lives in the present.
And when you bring your attention here, your body remembers:
I am safe.
I am alive.
I am connected to life.
You may even notice your body exhale on its own — that’s nervous system regulation happening.
