We had a fantastic time at Pave the Pathway on Thursday, April 30 at St. Joseph’s High School in Red Deer.

A sincere thank you to Brandy and Marian for hosting such a well-organized and engaging event for students exploring future career pathways.

AHASTI was proudly represented by Sarah, our First Aid and Psychological First Aid Instructor, and Doug, our EMR Instructor. Together, they spent the day connecting with students, answering questions, and providing hands-on opportunities to explore real emergency response equipment.

It was great to see so much curiosity and enthusiasm around careers in emergency services and workplace safety. Events like this are an important step in building confidence, awareness, and interest in lifesaving skills.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to connect with us—we always enjoy being part of these conversations.

It’s far more likely to be at home — with family, friends, or a neighbour.

We wrote about why first aid is the one skill worth bringing home from work.
