You need a splash of good news - our female Malayan tapir calf 'Nyawa' is one month old today! 🥳

At one month old, our has doubled her birth weight, weighing in at 18.4 kilograms on her most recent check! ⚖️ While she is still nursing from mom 'Sempurna', Nyawa enjoys eating browse and lettuce is a favourite. 🍼🌿🥬 We love watching her explore the main indoor habitat and take a moment to relax in the shallow water. 💦

Nyawa and Sempurna have daily access to the habitat from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. but continue to have access to back-of-house during this time, so viewing is not guaranteed. Stop by to say hello! 👋
