🍂Happy Wellness Wednesday! | “Harvesting Hope”🍂

Autumn is a season of harvest, of gathering what we’ve nurtured throughout the year. At Wings of Hope, we know that wellness looks different for everyone. For those living with breast cancer, especially in financially difficult times, even small moments of peace can be powerful.

This week, we invite our community to “harvest hope” by practicing gratitude, not just for what you have, but for how far you’ve come on your cancer journey!

🌻Wellness Challenge:
Take a moment to write down three small wins from your week. Maybe you stepped outside for some fresh air, accepted support when it was offered or allowed yourself to rest without guilt. Whatever they are, remember to honour them and yourself. You’re doing better than you think!

We continue to stand beside our community, easing financial stress, so healing can take root.

Together, we are stronger. Together, we are hopeful during this beautiful fall season!💗🍁

Happy Wellness Wednesday: Summer Salad Recipe!🥗

Foundational wellness begins with proper nourishment and nutritious food. This week, we’re sharing a simple and refreshing salad recipe to support the health and well-being of all.

Here’s a nutrient-rich “Summer Chickpea Salad” that’s packed with plant-based protein, fibre and cancer-fighting antioxidants.🌸

🥗Chickpea Salad Ingredients:

1 Can (15 oz.) Chickpeas, Drained & Rinsed
1 Cup Cherry Tomatoes, Cut In Half
1 Cucumber, Diced
1/4 Red Onion, Finely Chopped
1/4 Cup Fresh Parsley, Chopped
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
Salt & Pepper (To Taste)

Optional Add-Ins: Feta cheese, avocado or a sprinkle of sunflower seeds to add an extra boost of flavour!

Instructions:
In a large bowl, combine the chickpeas, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, and parsley. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently. Chill for 15 minutes before serving and enjoy!🌞

Exercise is powerful—it reduces cancer risk, eases treatment side effects, lowers relapse chances, and boosts survival rates.

Beat midweek fatigue with this simple, energizing five-move workout. In under 20 minutes, you’ll boost your energy, reduce stress and get your body moving!

🔁 The Circuit- Complete 2–3 Rounds Of The Following Exercises:

1.) Jumping Jacks- 15 reps.
❤️ Health Benefits: Elevates heart rate and circulation, lowers blood pressure, reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease and boosts metabolism.

2.) Squats- 15 reps.
❤️ Health Benefits: Builds lower body strength, enhances flexibility and mobility and supports heart health by increasing your blood flow and heart rate.

3.) Forward Fold To Standing Reach (Stretch Flow)- 10 slow reps. 
❤️ Health Benefits: Resets your breath, calms the nervous system, reduces anxiety and relieves lower back tension.

4.) Modified Knee Push-Ups- 10-12 reps. 
❤️ Health Benefits: Builds upper body and core strength while reducing physical and mental stress.

5.) Shoulder Rolls & Arm Circles- 10 forward-10 backward rolls, then 10 small + 10 medium arm circles (in each direction).
