It’s Community Disability Services Professional Appreciation Week!

This week, we recognize and celebrate the incredible dedication, compassion, and impact of professionals across Alberta’s Community Disability Services sector.

Every single day, your hard work champions inclusion, independence, and a high quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities, while building stronger communities for everyone.

From all of us at ACDS, thank you for your unwavering commitment and the difference you make.

Finding a place where your child truly feels included can change everything.

The Calgary Minor Soccer Association's Goal Getters FC Cerebral Palsy Program is back for Summer 2026, creating a welcoming soccer environment for children and youth living with cerebral palsy and similar neuromotor movement differences.

More than soccer, this program is about confidence, friendships, movement, and belonging.

It felt like a Birthday surprise when we received our nomination for the 2026 Calgary Awards! We were nominated for the Community Advocate - Organization category for the work we do every day with the people we serve in the disability community.

Here at CP Alberta we want to thank the City of Calgary – Your Local Government and for this recognition of our hard work that was taken on by everyone in the organization. We are only able to continue to make a difference here in Calgary due to the support of everyday Calgarians, and for that, we want to thank you .

Here's to 50 more years of advocating and supporting Calgarians in the disability community!

As we continue to celebrate 50 years of CP Alberta, we enjoy reflecting on partnerships and collaborations that make a lasting impression on both staff, and our members. Our latest Gaming Night brought connection, curiosity, and a whole lot of fun—and it’s safe to say participants are already asking when the next one is happening. The evening kicked off with a friendly round of Wii bowling, giving everyone a chance to settle in, connect, and get into the spirit o...
