What an unforgettable day at Sharon Corners Retirement Residence!

They were thrilled to welcome East Gwillimbury hometown hero, Sam Bennett of the Florida Panthers, fresh off his Stanley Cup victory. Residents and team members alike were overjoyed to meet Sam, celebrate his incredible achievement, and even get up close with hockey’s most coveted prize.

From sharing behind-the-scenes championship stories to taking photos (and even touching the Cup!), the visit was filled with pride, nostalgia, and pure joy. For many lifelong hockey fans, it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

A huge thank you to Sam for bringing not just the Cup, but also his warmth, generosity and community spirit to our home. These memories will be treasured forever.

Recently, Karen fulfilled her lifelong love of music by attending a Jann Arden concert with her granddaughter, while Ernest, a vintage car enthusiast, enjoyed a ride in a restored 1932 Auburn.

To thank our amazing residents, their families, and our dedicated staff for their patience through our renovations , we hosted a BBQ complete with live music and a petting zoo. The turnout was incredible, and the laughter and smiles made the afternoon so special.

A heartfelt thank-you goes to Dwayne Fettig for the wonderful live music and to the team at Butterfield Acres for bringing their adorable animals — you made the day unforgettable! 💛

It was such a success that we think we may have just started a new tradition! 🌭🎉

Even though the Calgary Stampede has long wrapped up, we kept the tradition alive with a fantastic Classic Car Show and a pancake Breakfast right here at Scenic Acres!

A heartfelt thank you to the amazing Batter Boys for serving up a delicious breakfast that brought smiles all around. Your energy and pancakes were the perfect way to kick off the day!

Residents of The Claremont Retirement Residence in Toronto gathered for a refreshing afternoon of indulgence and entertainment at the residence's Ice Cream & Strawberry Cocktail Social. The lounge was transformed into a cozy summer retreat, complete with chilled cocktails, sweet treats, and the smooth sounds of live music.

The event was a reminder that a little creativity and good company can turn an ordinary afternoon into a moment to remember. 🍓

Residents at Venvi Churchill Place were treated to a tasty presentation from a local student entrepreneur. Charlotte, a 15-year-old with a passion for baking, started her business, Grain & Loaf Co, to showcase that healthy can also mean delicious. Specializing in whole grain, good for you baked items, Charlotte is dedicated to bringing fresh, locally sourced, and handcrafted goods to customers.

Joined by her mother and grandmother, Charlotte brought her baked scones, muffins, and challah bread to share with residents, who were inspired by her energy and passion. She shared her story, recounting how she had taught herself to bake through trial and error, experimenting with healthier ingredients to make her treats more nutritious without sacrificing taste.

By the end of the presentation, Charlotte not only shared her delicious baked goods but also forged connections bridging generations through the joy of baking.

Calgary Parrot Club Brings Colourful Cheer to Scenic Acres!
Residents at Scenic Acres Retirement Residence were delighted by a recent visit from the Parrot Club of Calgary. The vibrant, feathered guests brought plenty of smiles, chatter, and photo opportunities. Everyone enjoyed learning about the parrots and watching their playful antics. A big thank you to the Calgary Parrot Club for such a joyful and engaging afternoon!

The Bentley Regina recently celebrated their grand re-opening after months of renovations. Residents were joined by Regina’s Mayor, Chad Bachynski, and other members of the community who were able to enjoy the inviting new spaces. The residence features an ode to The Capitol Theatre and an all-new pub called The Honking Goose Tavern. Guests had the opportunity to sample the Pension Plan Pilsner, a collaboration with The Bentley Regina and Pile O Bones Brewery located in Regina - a true Saskatchewan beer. 🐣🦆 Farewell to Our Feathered Friends 🦆🐣

Over the past few weeks, our community has had the joy of watching a special journey unfold — from tiny eggs to fluffy ducklings! 🐥

Thanks to the dedication of our residents and team, our incubated ducks were lovingly cared for and showered with attention every step of the way. Their playful quacks and curious waddles have brought smiles, laughter, and a real sense of connection to everyone here.

Now, it’s time for them to move on to a place where they can stretch their wings and enjoy life on the water. 🌿💧

Though it’s hard to say goodbye, we’re so grateful for the memories they’ve given us. Thank you to everyone who helped nurture them — this has truly been a special experience for our community. ❤️
