Prostate Cancer Centre

Prostate Cancer Centre We're committed to early detection, education, and saving lives in Alberta.

Prostate Cancer Centre is a not-for-profit dedicated to men's health, offering research, support programs, and the MAN VAN®, Canada's first mobile men's health clinic. While 1 in 6 men in Alberta will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetime, not all men are fortunate enough to have access to the Prostate Cancer Centre. The Prostate Cancer Centre is a revolutionary made-in-Calgary success story unique in North America. The Centre is independently operated, and funded entirely through the generosity of donors and sponsors. The Centre is entirely patient-focused; guiding and supporting men through the entire process. Comprehensive programming starts with encouraging men to get checked, providing a mobile early detection clinic, offering educational programming, medical treatment, after care, counseling and includes research and advocacy.

Men over the age of 40 should get a baseline PSA test. After that, every 5 years until age 50 and every year after that. If a family history of prostate cancer exists, it is recommended that men get tested yearly after age 40.

🎄✨ Alfred the Elf has been mischievous around the PCC office again… and this time, he’s brought a message for all our prospective Pre-Hab participants!

1️⃣ Snow Excuses: Show up for yourself this season!
2️⃣ (S)Elf Care: Prioritize your health, strength, and recovery.
3️⃣ Sleigh Your Workout: Keep moving and stay prepared for surgery.

At the Prostate Cancer Centre, we offer a free Pre-habilitation Program designed to help men feel stronger and more confident before surgery including pelvic floor physiotherapy (yes, men need this too!) and group fitness classes led by a Clinical Exercise Physiologist.

Each participant receives a tailored 12-week exercise program and are welcome to join any of our weekly exercise sessions.

Alfred says… let’s finish the year strong and start the next one even stronger! 💙🏋️‍♂️✨

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who donated to the KeepItInAlberta.ca campaign. You did more than give. You showed up for men and families in our province when they need it most.

Because you chose to keep it in Alberta, every dollar helps provide compassionate, expert care for patients, fuels leading edge research and strengthens the programs that walk families through every step of diagnosis, treatment, and life after cancer.

Your kindness means more access to fast appointments close to home, more answers through research, and more moments of comfort for families facing cancer. We are so grateful you are part of this community.

Thank you for making change in the lives of your fellow Albertans. 💙

We are still buzzing from the first ever Pickleball tournament in support of the Prostate Cancer Centre. Together, our pickleball community raised $19,815 for the Prostate Cancer Centre which is a BIG DILL. 🥒💙

Every serve and rally helped support life saving care, research, and family programs right here in Alberta. Thank you to everyone who signed up, fundraised, played hard, and showed up with so much heart for a great cause.

Huge thanks to our presenting sponsor Gameday Men's Health and to our court sponsors EFW Radiology, Chartwell Retirement Residences, Glover International Trucks, and RGO And thanks to COBS Bread Deerfoot City, Lina's Italian Market YYC , and Strip joint Chicken for keeping everyone fueled all day.

Because of you, more men in our community will get the care and support they need. We cannot wait to hit the courts with you again next year. Watch for 2026 tournament details coming soon. 💙

A huge thank you to Terry Cahill from FUBAR and CJAY 92 for throwing an incredible event to support men and their families so they can continue to GIVE'R!!!

Thank you to everyone who attended and gave a HOOT, because of you, FUBAR and CJAY 92 Rocks raised $4,636 for the Prostate Cancer Centre. Dave Lawrence wanted to give back after his experience at the Prostate Cancer Centre earlier this year, and he brought the full FUBAR GIVE'R spirit with him. All the money raised will be contributing to Keep It In Alberta.

Your energy, generosity, and commitment are advancing prostate cancer care, research, and support for men and their families right here in Alberta.

Thank you 💙
