This cause is close to our hearts. Threads of Life provides vital support to families and individuals affected by workplace tragedies, including fatalities, life-altering injuries, and occupational illnesses. Through peer support, family forums, and community outreach, they help people navigate loss, grief, and recovery while also raising awareness to prevent future incidents.

National Day of Mourning
Today, we pause to remember and honour the workers who have lost their lives, been injured, or suffered illness due to workplace incidents. We also stand with the families, friends, and communities who continue to feel the impact of these tragedies every day.

The National Day of Mourning is a time for reflection, but also a call to action. Every incident is preventable, and every worker deserves to return home safely at the end of the day.

Today and everyday, all of us at Kasa Consulting will continue to reinforce our commitment to safer workplaces, stronger systems, and a culture where health and safety is always the priority.

Kasa would like to invite you to consider supporting our walking team. This is the second year we have supported this cause. Last year, thanks to the generosity of our clients, family, and friends, we were the third-highest fundraising company in the Calgary walk, just behind EllisDon.
The purpose of the Steps for Life walk is to raise much‑needed funds to ensure ongoing support services for individuals and families devastated by workplace tragedy. Steps for Life funds programs that currently support more than 3,900 family members affected by workplace fatalities, life‑altering injuries, or occupational diseases, while also raising community awareness about the importance of preventing future workplace injuries and illnesses.
