I started in the health industry 20 years ago. My journey began as a first aid responder at sporting events. This quickly turned into a fascination in the body; how it works and recovers. I was lucky enough to be working with physiotherapists one-on-one at the age of 14 and this catapulted me into an early working career as a rehab therapist in many different settings. I have been fortunate to work in teams alongside many health care professionals: Orthopedic surgeons, Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, Return to work Physicians, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Kinesiologists, Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctors, Massage Therapists, Personal Trainers, Yoga Teachers, Nutritionists, Alternative Therapists, and more. I owned and managed a holistic health clinic with 22 therapists, collaborating with other health businesses in Calgary. I have had the privilege to travel and meet amazing practitioners in the health field, and this has given me a greater respect and understanding of the capabilities of the body. Through all of my experience and education, I have come to an understanding that I love to learn. The body has a lot to teach and I am willing to continue understanding how it reacts to the different stresses placed on it. Recently, I have shifted my education to what mind and body connection means. This starts with an understanding on how the body communicates with itself. I am now developing my education and experience into B.E.S.T, a gentle, energy healing approach to reducing stress, pain, and injury. It combines energy work, mind/body communication, and trigger pressure points in the body to support the body in healing itself. As one of my great teachers once said, the body will always heal from the inside out, so let's start to heal from there.

Bodies are weird. Let us help you figure it out.

A gem from my good friend and fellow practitioner, Dr. Shanna Rai, DC:
“Bodies are weird... let us fix it.”

Honestly, I felt that in my soul.

The truth is, the weirder the issue, the more invested I get. 😅
Because our bodies don’t just “randomly” hurt or break down — they speak. And that language is layered.

Behind every symptom, there’s a deeper story:

Physical trauma

Emotional trauma

Childhood conditioning

Mind-body-spirit dynamics

Astrology

Cultural influence

Environmental stress

Hormones, age, sex…
The list goes on.

As someone who’s spent 20+ years in chronic pain and rehabilitation, I can confidently say: there is never just one cause. Your body is the result of a lifetime of experiences — your nervous system adapting, your beliefs shaping, your body absorbing, avoiding, protecting.

You’re not just tight because you slept wrong.
You’re not weak because you’re “getting old.”
You’re not broken.

You are a living, breathing story. And your body is just trying to tell it.

That’s why when I work with clients, I’m always observing — how you move, how you hold yourself, your responses to touch, pressure, movement. All of that tells me more than a chart ever could.

And yeah… that also means I’ll ask a LOT of questions. 😅
I might try something, then pivot. Trial and error isn’t failure — it’s a part of healing. The more your body reveals, the better we can support it.

So if your practitioner is curious, observant, even a little “extra”… that’s a good thing.
Because every body is different. And healing isn’t one-size-fits-all.

Let your body tell its story. We're just here to help it be heard.
