Going through grief is tough, but many don't realize that watching someone you love suffer can be just as difficult. So, here are some ways that you can help someone who is currently grieving!

1. Provide small acts of kindness (dropping off groceries to their home, etc)

2. Reminding them grief is normal (that it's alright to feel and talk about your loved one)

3. Avoid the cliches (try something more personal and caring than "They’re in a better place")

4. Listen and offer silent support (just being there can mean everything)

5. Check in on important days (a simple ‘I’m thinking of you today’ goes a long way)

6. Ask how to support them, instead of assuming (we all grieve differently)
