🐎🎉 Another Wild Stampede Event at Swan Evergreen Village! 🎉🍦

Our community was buzzing with excitement as we hosted a Midway-style Stampede showdown — complete with classic novelties, sweet ice cream treats, and our very own horse races! 🍭🐴

But here’s the twist… our department leaders were the jockeys — and they had to build their own "horses" to ride into the race! 🧹🪵🛍️

The competition was fierce, the laughter was loud, and in the end, only 3 made it to the Winner’s Circle! 🏆✨

🎯🍿 Step right up! Last week at Swan Evergreen Village, we brought the Stampede midway to life — right here at home! Our community members had a blast playing ring toss, balloon darts, and even testing their aim at our Nerf gun shooting range 🎈🔫

Don’t worry — no community members or animals were harmed in the making of this wild west fun 😄

Laughter, cheers, and cowboy hats filled the air as we tipped our hats to Stampede season with games, prizes, and unforgettable memories! 💛🤠

🤠 The First Week of Stampede at Swan Evergreen Village – What a Ride! 🐎✨

We’ve been off to a galloping start celebrating Calgary Stampede 2025!
So far, we’ve:

👏Cheered on the National teams in the Horse Jumping event at Spruce Meadows
🎶 Been mesmerized by the sounds of an incredible pan flute performer
🥞 And kicked things off in true Western style with our annual Stampede Breakfast!

But we’re not done yet! 🤩

We kicked off the month with an unforgettable Seniors Talent Show, where our incredible community members lit up the stage with singing, storytelling, music, and more! 🎶💃✨

Their talent, courage, and creativity were the heart of Seniors Week, reminding us that joy, passion, and self-expression only grow stronger with age.

🚗✨ Throwback to Father’s Day at Swan Evergreen Village!

Our Active Living community put on a Car Hop Show & Shine to celebrate all the amazing dads out there — and what a day it was! From military jeeps to classic hot rods and even the latest generation rides, our parking lot was packed with horsepower and heart.

🍨 The cherry on top? Root beer floats and sundaes served right from our vintage ice cream truck — delivered on wheels by the incredible roller skating stars of the Calgary Roller Derby All Stars!

Huge thanks to the Calgary Roller Derby Allstars for bringing the fun, flair, and fantastic service, and to all the families who brought out their rides to make the event shine. It was an unforgettable day — and a tradition we can’t wait to continue! 💙

We were lucky to welcome our friends from Butterfield Acres Farm for an unforgettable visit filled with cuddles, smiles, and the softest baby animals around!

Who doesn’t love baby goats, bunnies, piglets, and a lamb? Our community was glowing with joy — a perfect way to celebrate the spirit of Seniors Week with some furry fun!
