One of the most common FAQs we receive from clients is: how long does it take to adjust to a new prescription? Getting used to new glasses can take time. Whether it’s your first pair, an updated prescription, or new progressive lenses, it’s normal to notice mild headaches, eye strain, or a “fishbowl” effect at first. Wearing your glasses as prescribed usually helps your eyes adjust within a few days. If discomfort persists after a week or two, your optometrist is here to help with a follow-up.
