This is a meteorite that fell to Earth near Whitecourt, Alberta, Canada in March of 2011.

The Whitecourt meteorite is a small stone meteorite, meaning that it is made up of rock and minerals that have been fused together by the extreme heat and pressure of entering the Earth’s atmosphere. It is classified as an ordinary chondrite, which is a type of meteorite that is made up of chondrules, which are small, round beads of minerals that formed in the early solar system.

The Whitecourt meteorite is thought to be about 4.5 billion years old and is believed to be a piece of the asteroid belt that lies between Mars and Jupiter.
