I figured it’s time for another ✨intro post✨
Hi! My name is Shea, and I’m the face behind this account. I graduated with my advanced clinical massage therapy diploma in 2018, and have been serving the Calgary population since!
I work with my clients to come up with specific treatment goals depending on their physical symptoms and emotional and therapeutic needs at the beginning of each appointment. Every treatment is different, and completely tailored to your needs that day. I offer therapeutic, relaxation, cupping, prenatal and postpartum massage in my practice. I typically hover around a moderate to deep pressure, but it’s absolutely customizable to your needs! I don’t believe in the “no pain, no gain” mindset, and prefer to stay within your comfort range (and the “good hurt” zone), while still maintaining a therapeutic pressure.
My treatment room is set up in my home, a few steps from my front door! It’s equipped with an adjoining restroom, hot towel and table warmers, aromatherapy, magnesium muscle cream and plenty of plants🪴! I have curated a massage playlist (that receives quite a few compliments), but typical spa music is available as well if that’s what you need to relax! My goal is to provide a comfortable, welcoming environment so you’re able to reach your treatment goals with ease! I also offer online booking, card payments and insurance receipts.
The first clinic I ever worked in was a prenatal clinic, and I quickly grew passionate about supporting pregnant people. From there, I went on to become a birth doula, childbirth educator, and postpartum doula as well. Today, I serve growing families in Calgary as a doula and massage therapist, and I teach online childbirth ed classes for pregnant populations in Winnipeg! If you’re a long-time client, you may have received the “we may need to reschedule, I’m on my way to a birth” text, but I do my best to communicate my on call times with clients when rebooking ✨
If you’ve read this far, I just wanted to say that I appreciate you for being here, and I hope this post provided you with some more information about me! I look forward to seeing you in the treatment room real soon 🫶🏼
