Alberta health services has asked that we stop doing routine blood tests and radiology at this time. So if you have a requisition form for bloodwork or a mammogram please call the office to check with your doctor when you need it done. We will continue looking after new diseases and problems, and we will continue to monitor serious medical diseases that needs follow up bloodwork, but we will decide together when it should be done.
If you are immune compromised a special appointment can be booked at select labs and Radiology by your doctor.
Routine Care for pregnant patients, babies and cancer patients are still continuing.
Your doctor and you will decide if and where you need to be seen if an in person visit is required. Most of the time we will try and accommodate through phone or email or video conferences.

Please forward your E-mail addresses to the clinic on our email [email protected] or update it with Daniela when you call the office so we can stay connected during the next frontier of Family medicine: Virtual care.
The Calgary West Central Primary care network has allowed us to use the Patient connect software, which means we will send you an email link to open before your appointment time, download a small piece of software test your camera and microphone, and then you chat with the doc through a device. This is very secure and has been vetted through all the necessary privacy commissions so our conversations stay private.
If you do not have access to a tablet or smart phone or computer we can still connect per phone or email, but please keep checking in. We care and we are here for you.
In this #COVID19 pandemic, Alberta family docs want to assure patients that they are still open and available to provide patient care.
Whether you have questions and concerns related to COVID-19 or are in need of care or advice for something else, family physicians are still open for business as usual.
Wash your hands, wash your hands, soap and water is the best.

Lets play it safe to plank this curve - and practise social isolation!
During the Covid-19 health challenge we are striving to protect our vulnerable patients and avoid the spread. We are doing our utmost to clean everything to up to date standards, so we don't share germs.
We are minimizing waiting time in the waiting room, by offering to wait in your car and come straight to the examination room when ready.
Please ask for a mask if you are symptomatic with a fever, cough, runny nose etc.
Please let the front staff know if you have tested positive for Covid, or travelled within the last 14 days and are in isolation, or have been in contact with anyone with Covid or travelled. We are not equipped to test people for COVID, so
the best thing to do would be to phone 811, but if they have cleared you and not advising testing we can still see sick people in the clinic for other things.
If you are very ill from Covid and have problems breathing, please phone 911.

I’ve heard this Dr talk, makes a lot of sense!
We are thrilled to announce that Interventional and Preventative Cardiologist, Dr. Blair O’Neill will be speaking at Metabolic Health Summit in 2019! Dr. O’Neill has been a practicing cardiologist since 1990. Health care leadership experience includes Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory of the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax. He went on to become Chief of the Division of Cardiology at the QEII Health Sciences Centre. In 2008, he was recruited as Division Director for the University of Alberta, Division of Cardiology and for the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute. In 2012, he became Senior Medical Director for the Cardiovascular Health and Stroke Strategic Clinical Network for Alberta Health Services, & in 2015 became the Associate Chief Medical Officer for all Strategic Clinical Networks in the province of Alberta.
Nationally, he served on Council of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS) from 1995 until 2000, and on its Executive from 2008-2012, serving as President of the Society between 2010-2012. He served as Chair of the Access to Care Committee for the CCS and was instrumental in setting the targets for cardiovascular services and procedures, which have been adopted nationally. He also chaired the CCS’ Quality Initiative, which established common data-definitions for cardiovascular registries in Canada, as well as the initiative to define national quality indicators for cardiovascular conditions. He also served as Chair of the Quality Collaborative for the Canadian Medical Association.
Dr. O’Neill has practiced a low carbohydrate lifestyle for 3 years, losing and easily sustaining a 25 lbs. weight loss. He is a member of the Obesity Medicine Association in the USA. He has researched the literature and is convinced that our dietary guidelines have lead to the pandemic of obesity and diabetes around the world. He says that fat has never been proven to be harmful, and that sugars and highly processed foods are the culprit. Dr. O’Neill has become medical advisor to a company dedicated to helping patients adopt a low carb lifestyle, Ketocule Health Coaching, based in Edmonton, Alberta. #MHS2019
