🙏🏽
- I recently was awarded this medal of distinction from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (). The CPA recognized the innovators, game changers and titans who’ve moved the PT world in the last 100 years. I am extremely grateful and humbled to be part of this group of PTs.
When I treated my first patient in 1999, I don’t think I would have ever envisioned writing this post almost 20 years later. We all get chance in life to use our talents and inner superpowers to influence change and create true impact. So I’m truly thankful to the universe, to my parents, to my mentors, to my misfortunes for setting me up to pay it forward.
Paying it forward for me has always been about creating a movement and leaving a legacy. This award for me is about celebrating the PT community and how we as a profession pivoted over the last year to not survive but thrive. Together we have transformed pain into power.
Celebrating our continued impact in our local communities as transformational leaders is the essence of this award. I have had the extreme good fortune to take a leadership position (PPD ) during this pandemic. I’ve turned my focus to help lead a nation thru this crisis. But truly speaking i have played a small but humble part. The true success of all of what you see was the nation of PTs coming together. I’m extremely proud of our Canadian PT Family and our triumphs. May this award be shared amongst all of you. 🙏🏽
Ps - Congrats to my fellow PT Titans who made it to this list of 100 who moved 100 years of Physiotherapy. Swipe left to see these amazing souls
