Certification in Equine-assisted Support© starts this February!

This course sets itself apart from other generic online programs by tailoring to individuals with a professional background, aiming to create an equine-assisted program that they can implement with the population within their scope of practice. It prides itself on graduating facilitators with exceptional offerings worthy of funding or support from high-level organizations.

If you have a horse or access to a facility where you plan on providing a horse-assisted service, you can apply with a professional background in a health and wellness or human sciences field, as well as one in education. But make no mistake! Applicants must be passionate individuals with a robust sense of spirituality!

With a background in Occupational Therapy, accreditation at the master’s level in the Biopsychosocial Approach, Wellness Coaching, Expressive Arts, and Equinisity ™, Marianne Disipio, the founder of the unique practice of Equine-assisted Support©, promises to dedicate herself to providing you with individualized mentorship!

Despite being a fairly new discipline in the equine-assisted world, Marianne and her graduates have all succeeded in either receiving funding for their unique programs or recognition as approved contracted service providers.

Although the tuition is higher than for some of these online certifications, there is a lovely in-person practicum in the summer in the NW of Calgary, designed like a serene, rejuvenating retreat. That in itself might make it all worth it!

My certification is not a one-size-fits-all course. There is no prescribed horse activities. Instead, this program is designed around you—your professional background, your passions, and the population you feel called to serve.

Become certified in a unique equine-assisted practice developed by an Occupational Therapist and Wellness Life Coach! This course is designed to accommodate working professionals, offering flexible scheduling. It is a great way to branch out into a private practice and follow your calling to help others in a profoundly meaningful way, or to create a distinctive program you hope to get funded (read testimonials below).

This is the third year, and pricing is still affordable! The certification is only offered once a year and starts in February 2026! There is one spot left for getting certified in Equine-assisted Support©.

EAS© is a horse-assisted intervention that combines supportive guidance for individuals experiencing various emotionally difficult issues with the introduction of soulful self-care practices to help cope with new or ongoing life challenges. Applicants are required to have an idea for a program they would like to develop upon registering.

Unlike some equine-assisted certifications, there are no set or prescribed horse activities or protocols. Students are guided to combine their professional skills with their unique interests and passions, while considering their horse's gifts.

The program combines 7 live online modules, case studies to complete on your own, a full weekend practicum in the NW of Calgary, and a final exam.
18-20 hours of live interactive theoretical teaching online
10 hours of assignments
15 hours of in-person training with live clients and horses
15 hours of case studies
1-2 hours final exam

Justin is the OG horse that started it all for me. We aren’t quite sure of his age, but estimate somewhere between 22 and 26, as he was a rescue from the meat market. Justin‘s had a beautiful life here with us, and was able to get a life-saving knee operation. He’s recently started losing weight, and so the vets came today. We are supplementing his diet three times a day with fattening grain, however, we suspect that he may be experiencing some metabolic issues. I did not know this, but 80% of ponies are genetically predisposed, and he does fit in the category of large pony. I love this horse more than words can express. He got me through the worst of my fear when I found out about my daughter’s seizures and developmental challenges, and he also inspired me to create all the programs that I have today! We are soulmates even though he truly loves my beautiful friend Clarissa 😉 We will be making sure he’s extra comfortable this winter. Please send all your healthy vibes our way! 🐴❤️🙏

When I adopted Noble, I knew she was special. She kept coming to me in dreams even before I laid eyes on the ad announcing that she was up for adoption. I dreamt that she had a deep desire to be around humans and connect on a soul level. So when this idea for Sunday reflection time with the horses came to me, I knew she was behind it. I never plan without her. I bring my notepad into the paddocks, and when she does these curious lip movements on the page, all my ideas start flowing. From her lips to my written words. We are a great team and I love her more than I can put into words. ❤️ I just had to share.

When good people come together, magic happens! Every year I get to host the Indy Girls with Penny Coleman; a social group of young ladies with varied abilities. We try to take advantage of all that my place has to offer, and boy were we lucky this Saturday! The weather held up for us and we were able to love on the horses, enjoy an outdoor yoga class, have a little campfire, and walk in the woods with all the fall colours still intact! My heart is full ❤️ Special thanks to for helping out and teaching the ladies about horse behaviour and safety!

It’s finally ready! We will be open for business October 25 from 1 PM to 4 PM! Bring the whole family! Come with a fiction book to exchange for any age group, or don’t come with one at all! You can always purchase a new book for a small price! All proceeds go to helping young adults with varied abilities! Have a coffee and meet the horses and enjoy the beautiful property! We can’t wait to meet you! This is a big deal for us!!!

This Sunday, Noble and the horses offered their first session for our October offering of personal reflection time with the horses. Gailen and Chance were very much present in spirit to support the wonderful women who felt called to partake in this special experience. It always fascinates me how the Universe brings together the perfect people. We spent time together in deep rest. We explored our ability to listen to our highest selves, and we created artistic representations of our next steps using materials from nature. The horses and I are always so honoured to support in any way we can 🐴❤️ and of course, they got to unwind at the end of the day by playing free on the land.

NEW! Practicing Social Flexibility

A SMALL EQUINE-ASSISTED SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL SKILLS STRENGTHENING© OFFERING FOR 3 TEENS AGED 12-17 YEARS OF AGE.

Starts the week of September 23rd and runs until November 25th, 2025.

Tuesdays after school from 4:30 pm-5:30 pm. Although there is no set amount of sessions required to book/participate, if you are considering using FSCD hours, we can discuss individual contracts. If you do not have FSCD, you can join privately.

I will be accepting up to 3 participants for this upcoming season, and will run it even with just 1 student. We will be working on the following skills in the area of encouraging the emergence of social flexibility:

-Exploring respectful perspective-taking
-Processing how to bring together cognitive empathy with emotional empathy for authentic interactions
-Practicing impulse control

Suitability and acceptance into the program will be determined for each student upon application and the intake process.
