HAPPY NEW YEAR friends!

Y'all have likely heard me say "I'd teach for free if I could, but I have rent to pay!". It's true! Now, I do offer free classes to first-time clients. With the debacle switch over to Vagaro, many of you have also experienced some free classes! And I am not always that great at keeping track... sigh. But I've managed to stay open all this time, kept the lights on and rent paid so why worry?!

It is something I would really love to be able to do more often so I am going to do just that a little bit more often! Tomorrow will be the first of many FREE FRIDAYS!! This one will be without any stipulations, catches or gimmicks. After my return from vacation on the 13th, there will be certain terms and conditions that will be implemented for Friday morning classes that could be FREE for you! Those details will follow soon.

Christmas coffee looks a little different this year... 😋

I never used to drink coffee. It was only when needed to stop a Chinook headache. It worked and was cheaper than drugs. Then someone offered me one with Bailey's out camping. Oooooh... it was good! So good, it became a camping morning staple. Then it was a celebratory breakfast drink with cake on birthdays. And I fully admit to having it in my cup on occasion at the studio. (Remember Beer Yoga? 😬)

When I made the choice to change my relationship with alcohol, the fake Bailey's creamer was good (or any other sweet creamer - we'll talk about the sugar addiction another day!) I enjoy the flavor of Bailey's so when I came across this coffee, I had to try it. And I quite like it!

Let's talk about this some more...

The non-alcohol beers and beverages are great for anyone that is looking to cut back buy still enjoy the flavor of an alcoholic drink. I came across a comment on a sobriety page I follow on social media that asked "why create something that could potentially trigger someone in recovery to relapse?". Good question! And there's no simple answer. I believe for the most part it's a social thing. Not drinking at social events is getting to more popular but many of us are still faced with questions and uncomfortable comments. Having other options besides water, juice and pop at your holiday events is an excellent way to support your sober or soberish family and friends.

It's another "take your breath away" cold day but the sun is shining! As a "solar-powered girl" I gotta get out in it when I can even when it's cold and this handsome guy, Hank, is what gets me outside.

We're in the darkest of days, being in the New Moon phase today and approaching Winter Solstice on Sunday, the daylight hours are limited. If you are affected by Seasonal Affective Disorder, find a spot to soak in the sunshine today. It certainly helps!

The Winter Solstice celebration on Sunday is open to everyone; 108 Sun Salutations is not required! Come join in for a few or just have a visit while we flow. 🌞

One full week of a regular schedule...

Then it gets confusing! Some days are closed, some days are open... some days we don't know what day it is... it's a confusing time between Christmas and New Year's 🤣

A gift certificate or a crocheted mat bag could also make a great gift!
