Don't know what to expect during a massage session? Let me take you through it...
When you book your session, it's strongly recommended that you book for at least an hour for your first visit. This allows your therapist to go over your issues and create a personalized treatment plan for you.
You will be sent an email with a link to your intake form. Please have this filled out before your visit, so that it doesn't eat into your treatment time.
At the beginning of the appointment, your therapist will talk with you briefly, to ask you questions about what is going on, or they might look at the area, or perform some tests. They will go over the plan for that session. It's very important that you speak up if you would like something different than what they discussed.
You will undress (in private) to your comfort level, lie on the massage table, and cover yourself with the upper sheet and blanket. You then call out to us that you are ready, which lets us know that it's ok to come in.
You will be asked to turn all devices on to "silent" while you're getting your massage. If you really need to take a call, let us know and we will get your phone for you if it rings, and we will pause the massage while you take the call. Unfortunately, this does eat into your time.
While massage may get intense in some areas, it should almost always feel GOOD! If this is not the case, let your therapist know right away!
If you have any questions, please, feel free to ask, especially if you are not comfortable with something! Chances are, we can make changes.
Enjoy!
