Is UCLA about to become the new Turkey for hair restoration?

A breakthrough molecule called PP405, developed by UCLA scientists William Lowry, Heather Christofk, and Michael Jung, has shown major promise in early human trials—reawakening dormant hair follicles and triggering full strand growth after just a week of topical use. The results were described as “statistically significant,” giving real hope to those chasing a true cure for baldness.

Backed by Google Ventures and developed under Pelage Pharmaceuticals (founded by the same scientists), the project has already secured $16M in funding. But with FDA approval still pending, it could be a few years before PP405 hits the market. Could this be the game-changer millions have been waiting for?
