At AgeCare Woodhaven (Markham, ON), a resident’s dream sparked something special. When Robert shared his hope to return to a casino, his family and the team came together to help make it happen — with the support of the Resident Council and fellow AgeCare Woodhaven residents, a group outing was planned just days after Robert’s birthday.

The best part? It was a complete surprise. With his family by his side, Robert celebrated in style — and inspired a meaningful experience for others, too.

All aboard for a day to remember! 🚢

Ten lovely residents from AgeCare Brant (Burlington, ON) set sail on a beautiful lunch cruise along the Grand River in Caledonia. From a lively fiddle show and Canadian music in the grand hall to learning about the rich Indigenous history of the area, the day was filled with culture and connection.

At 101 years young, Emily (in pink!) was one of the stars of the outing — showing that there’s always time to enjoy something new. 💙

AgeCare’s Ontario Executive Directors, Regional Directors, Consultants, and Human Resources team recently gathered for a morning of operational and clinical updates — followed by an afternoon dedicated to appreciation and connection.

Thanks to the generous support of HME Ltd. Home Medical Equipment, the group enjoyed a fun and relaxing event at HME’s Burlington, ON offices, complete with delicious food, refreshing drinks, caricatures, massages, mini manicures, tarot card readings, handwriting analyses, and a raffle.

It was a wonderful way to say thank you to the dedicated leaders who make a difference for residents, families, and team members across Ontario’s long-term care communities.

AgeCare Aurora (Aurora, ON) recently marked an incredible milestone — 50 years of caring for the community! 💙

The golden anniversary celebration was packed with fun: historical photos, live entertainment, face painting, games, popcorn, cotton candy, cake, and ice cream! Residents and their families gathered to celebrate decades of compassion and connection.

A special thank you to Hon. Michael Parsa, MPP Aurora–Oak Ridges–Richmond Hill, for joining us and sharing warm wishes with the AgeCare Aurora family.

A special lunch and a lifetime of stories 💙

Today, our CEO, Salimah Walji-Shivji, had the pleasure of sharing lunch with 99-year-old resident Terry at AgeCare Jasper Place (Edmonton, AB).

Terry, a former travel nurse, brought such wisdom and warmth to the table, sharing stories of her inspiring journey and accomplishments. She spoke fondly of AgeCare Jasper Place's beautiful courtyard — a favorite feature she missed in her previous home — and even mentioned that her mother lived to 108!

These lunches are truly the highlight of Salimah’s day, and she’s looking forward to connecting with even more residents and families in the lunches ahead.
