The greatest teacher and mentor is the one who has lived the highs & the lows. Hit rock bottom and made it out….

And if you’re anything like me, you’re wired to go.

Work. Train. Build. Improve. Repeat.

But I’ve learned something the hard way. If you don’t protect your energy, you just end up spinning your wheels.

Busy doesn’t always mean productive. (And I’m still working this 🤪 )

So this year I’m protecting my peace in small ways: reading before bed, snuggling the dogs, walking to clear my head, not grabbing my phone first thing, and taking time during the day to reset. Not saying yes when I mean no.

None of it is dramatic. But when your mind is steady and your body feels safe; everything else works better.

Sometimes slowing down is exactly how you build your best year yet. And I am manifesting 2026 hard.

People are always looking for the trick.

Higher reps…More sweat…More exercises.

Muscle changes your body. What you do before & during your weight loss will be the difference between you looking frail or looking snatched.

Muscle comes from challenging the muscle.

Give me 8–12 good reps where you’re actually pushing yourself over 30 easy ones any day.

Lift with intention & Eat like you give a s*** about yourself.

That’s how you’ll get not only the body that you want, but the high vibe you want.

Protein isn’t just 6 eggs for breakfast or 12 ounces of steak for dinner.

Protein is 2 eggs & 2 pieces of whole grain toast.
Cottage cheese and beef.
Protein powder, yogurt and granola.
Edamame, salmon and quinoa.
High protein wraps, turkey and lettuce.

The goal is to build smart meals, filling meals, enjoyable meals.

This is where sustainability and health are.

Another week gone just like that…

1️⃣&2️⃣ locked in my cream cheese buttercream icing recipe 👩‍🍳🧁 (carrot cake cupcakes for those wondering).

3️⃣ Our once a week coffee outing ☕️ (I still miss it, but at the same time feeling really good off of the daily coffee train).

4️⃣ Instead of sitting down with our coffees we’ve made the switch to a morning walk with them - and guess what we found!! A lucky dime 🪙 (good things follow when you make better choices…it’s a cascade).

5️⃣&6️⃣ Fighting for my life on my current two favourite machines, the pendulum squat and the arsenal lateral raise 😈

7️⃣ Just me, embracing who I am 😘 (I woke up not feeling the greatest…didn’t stop me from getting some morning steps & a workout in. Feeling like a baddie again. Do what you say you’ll do - nothing can stop you then).

8️⃣ Dinner out on Friday 😍 (yes I go out sometimes, more for special events. I just love home cooked meals).

9️⃣ Just a puppy doing puppy things 💗

A lot of adults feel awful because their daily habits look like an overtired toddler’s.

Skipping meals. Too much screen time. No fresh air. Running on caffeine. Fighting sleep instead of respecting it.

And then we blame motivation, hormones, or lack of discipline.

You already know how to take care of a human body, you just don’t apply it to yourself.

Eat. Move. Go outside. Sleep. Repeat.

The basics aren’t boring. They’re foundational.
