I’m Kara — a Manual Osteopathic Therapist and Registered Massage Therapist supporting women and families through every stage of life. With over 17 years of experience, I help clients reduce pain, restore balance, and reconnect with their bodies through gentle structural work, therapeutic massage, low-level laser therapy, and holistic manual techniques that prioritize the nervous system. I began my wellness journey in 2007 after completing the 1,100-hour Massage Therapy program at Mount Royal University. Since then, I’ve worked in spas, clinics, and multidisciplinary teams before opening my home-based practice in 2013. I am a fully registered MTAA member in good standing with 2,200-hour equivalency and am covered by all major insurance plans. My clinical approach has evolved significantly over the years. I now focus on women’s health, family wellness, and nervous-system-supported manual therapy. My treatments blend slow, intentional work with structural alignment techniques, cranial sacral influences, and targeted deep tissue when needed — always working with the body, not against it. I hold additional training in TMJ treatment, prenatal/postpartum massage, labour support techniques, and infant massage instruction. I have also completed postpartum doula education to deepen my knowledge of early postpartum care. In 2015, I completed my diploma in Natural Nutrition, which continues to inform my understanding of inflammation, stress, and whole-body healing, though nutrition is no longer offered as a standalone service. My newest specialization is Low-Level Laser Therapy (2023) — a gentle, non-invasive modality that supports tissue repair, reduces inflammation, and accelerates healing. It integrates seamlessly with both osteopathic and massage-based treatments. I completed my Manual Osteopathic Therapy diploma through the Manual Osteopathic College of Canada in 2020 and now incorporate osteoarticulation, myofascial remodelling, visceral manipulation, and craniosacral-inspired techniques to create a deeply restorative, full-body treatment experience. Today, I offer trauma-informed, integrative care for women and families of all ages. Beginning December 1, I’ll be welcoming clients to my new clinic space at Thrive Wellness Centre. Exclusive in-home late prenatal and postpartum care continues through YYC Mama Wellness, my women-centered branch. I love connecting with new clients and local wellness professionals.
