You got the promotion. You did the work. You have the track record.
And you still wake up waiting to be found out.
That is not a character flaw. That is imposter syndrome, and it is far more common than most people admit, especially among people who are genuinely good at what they do.
The problem is not your ability. It is the story you have been told, or told yourself, about whether you actually deserve to be where you are.
Naming it is the first step to changing it.

Reaching out doesn’t have to feel like a big commitment.
A complimentary consultation is simply a chance to connect, ask questions, and see if it feels like the right fit for you. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start.
If you’ve been thinking about talking to someone, this could be a good place to begin.

Motherhood, caregiving, and nurturing don’t exist in just one form.

Some are raising children. Some are longing to. Some are grieving loss. Some are caring for aging parents, siblings, partners, friends, pets, clients, or the people everyone else leans on. Some are stepmothers, aunties, mentors, chosen family, or quiet maternal figures in ways the world may never fully see.

Caregiving can be beautiful, exhausting, meaningful, lonely, identity-shaping, and invisible all at once.

Today, we’re holding space for all of it;
To every mother and maternal figure in our community, and to those carrying love, grief, hope, or care in any situation or form: we see you. 🤍

Honest truth about year one? It stretched us in ways we did not see coming. There were moments of doubt, of exhaustion, of wondering if we had taken on too much. And then there were the moments that made all of it make sense. The clients who found their footing. The conversations that shifted something real. The quiet pride of building something that is genuinely ours. We are registered psychologists, but we are also two women who took a risk on themselves and on this city. Year one is done. We are still here. We are still in it. And we are grateful beyond words.

People pleasing is often a learned way of staying safe in relationships. Over time, it can become so automatic that it’s hard to tell where your needs end and someone else’s begin.
Many adults we work with in Calgary don’t come in with a label for this.
They come in feeling overwhelmed in their relationships, unsure how to set boundaries, or disconnected from what they actually want.
There’s nothing wrong with you for adapting this way.
But you don’t have to stay stuck in it.
When you start to understand the pattern, you can begin to relate to yourself and others differently.

Did you know:

The therapeutic relationship is the number one factor in therapy outcomes and success. Not the perfect technique. Not the “right” modality. The relationship.

And hope?
Hope is one of the most powerful catalysts for change.

Not all therapy starts with “I know exactly what I need.”
Sometimes it starts with, “I just know I need something.”
And that’s enough.

If you’re booking a consult and don’t know what to ask, here are a few questions that actually help you feel it out:

• How do you typically work with clients?
• What does progress look like with you?
• What happens if something isn’t working for me?
• How do you view the therapist–client relationship?
• Based on what I’ve shared, how do you think you could help?

But more than anything, you’re not just looking for answers in a consult.
You’re looking for a feeling.

Did I feel understood, even a little?
Did this feel like a place I could come back to?

That’s where good therapy starts.
