On September 7th, the team at Alberta Orthotic and Prosthetic Centre will be running 6km in support of the Alberta Children’s Hospital! If you are able, please consider donating to our team’s fundraising page. All funds raised go directly to the Alberta’s Children’s Hospital! This race is close to our hearts as the Children’s Hospital has been a fantastic resource to many of our patients and their families and we are thrilled to be able to give back to our community in any way possible!

This super cute final socket was made for a little one with fibular hemimelia. The design uses a inner pelite liner which provides the suspension over her distal end and a comfortable, easy to don interface. Zoe is on a dynamic foot and absolutely loves to run and bounce around.

Check out this super cool customized transfemoral prosthesis! The socket design uses a custom flexible inner paired with a volume adjustable outer socket. We used a Click Medical dial so that Jim can adjust the volume of his socket as needed throughout the day. Jim uses an Ottobock X3 microprocessor knee and a dynamic foot.
