Meet McInnis & Holloway: Care Team Supervisor Hannah Holmes

Hannah Holmes began her career on the cemetery side of funeral service, where she spent several years supporting families at Garden of Peace. Over time, she felt called to take a more direct role in guiding families through services, leading her into funeral care with a strong focus on compassion and connection.

Today, Hannah supports families during meaningful moments while also leading her team with empathy and understanding. She’s someone people naturally feel comfortable with—both in moments of loss and in everyday interactions.

Outside of work, Hannah practices taxidermy, a craft that reflects her creativity and appreciation for wildlife. She also enjoys spending time with her dog, Penny, and being with her family.

Meet McInnis & Holloway: Crematorium Supervisor David Dessler

David Dessler’s path into funeral service started in an unexpected way. After working as a computer instructor in Winnipeg, a connection through one of his students introduced him to cremation services—a role that quickly felt like the right fit and grew into a lasting career.

Today, David plays an essential role behind the scenes, bringing a thoughtful and steady way of working to everything he does. He values listening and making sure every team member feels heard, helping create a more connected and supportive environment.

Outside of work, David enjoys time with his wife and two children, hiking in Banff, and bowling, a hobby he’s carried with him for years.
