Calgary Core Physiotherapy

Calgary Core Physiotherapy Calgary Core Physiotherapy provides physiotherapy, acupuncture, sports and post-operative rehabilitation, and injury treatment services in downtown Calgary

At Calgary Core Physiotherapy, we have created a clinic where clients can see what a difference it makes in their injury recovery when you combine the skills to heal and the spirit to care. Our desire is to make a positive impact on our downtown community, all 4 quadrants of Calgary, and beyond. Yes, this is a large area to consider, but our clientele has come from as far away as BC, Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories! Our clinic is easily accessible for both downtown workers as well as those who live in the outskirts of the city. Our vision is to bring together an amazing group of physiotherapists who are highly-skilled, respected in the medical community, and who know how to really care and have compassion for their patients. We also are always extremely grateful and fortunate to have a top-notch administrative staff to help our clients with all the non-clinical support. Our mission is to provide superior physiotherapy services with the utmost competency, integrity, and personalized care. We want to exceed our clients’ expectations and help them achieve optimal, pain-free living. Simply put, our focus is always the client and their health.

🌟Welcome to the Calgary Core Physio Team, Anna Soby 🌟

Anna is a born and raised Calgarian with a lifelong passion for sport and movement. Growing up, she spent most weekends ski racing in Fernie, BC, and playing club volleyball. These experiences sparked her interest in physiotherapy from an early age.
She completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of Alberta before heading overseas to earn her Master of Science in Physiotherapy from Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland. After graduating, Anna moved to Edinburgh, where she worked in a private practice and took every opportunity to explore Europe on the weekends.

➡️What’s your treatment philosophy?

My treatment philosophy is patient-centered, with individual goals as the top priority. I work collaboratively to ensure expectations are being met while addressing the root cause of dysfunction for long-term results. I combine hands-on techniques with education and tailored exercise programs to support patients in their recovery and help them return to the activities that matter most to them.

➡️What are you interested in outside of work?

Outside of the clinic, you’ll often find me skiing in Fernie during the winter or staying active year-round with volleyball, tennis, biking, running, and pickleball. I also have a big love for travel and enjoy exploring new places and cultures whenever I get the chance. Staying active and adventurous has always been a big part of my life, and I’m always looking for new ways to grow, explore, and connect with others.

➡️Whatare your areas of expertise and interest?

I have a particular interest in treating injuries affecting the knee or shoulder, whiplash injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation. I enjoy working with a wide range of injuries and I am committed to helping each patient regain their best possible function and quality of life.

➡️How How do you take care of your body/prevent injuries?

Playing sports is my passion, so I make strength training a regular part of my routine to help prevent injuries and stay in shape. I pay close attention to my body and take breaks when needed.

🌟 Welcome to the team, Kass! 🌟

Originally from a small town in BC, Kass recently graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. She’s passionate about health, movement, and helping others feel their best — and plans to continue her journey in the healthcare field. 💪

When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find her rock climbing, hitting the gym, exploring the outdoors, catching a sporting event, or spending time with friends and family. 🏔️⚽🏋️‍♀️

Kass is excited to be one of the friendly faces welcoming patients at Calgary Core Physiotherapy, and we couldn’t be happier to have her as part of the team! 💙

🌟 Welcome to the Calgary Core Physio team, Jacalyn Moore🌟

➡️What’s your treatment philosophy?

My approach starts with active listening. I believe patients often have the answers—they know their bodies better than anyone. It’s my job to listen carefully to what they’re feeling and what their body is telling me, then use that information to guide effective, individualized treatment.

➡️What are you interested in outside of work?

Outside of work, I love anything that challenges me physically or mentally and teaches me something new. You’ll often find me hiking, biking, running, working out, painting, renovating my house, practicing my French—or out on the field playing soccer with my team, the Hungry Hippos!

➡️What are your areas of expertise and interest?

I specialize in complex injuries involving multiple systems, and I’m especially passionate about helping patients who feel like they’ve exhausted other options. I often work with individuals who haven’t found success with previous treatments and are ready to dig deeper. My goal is always to support those who are truly committed to getting better.

➡️How do you take care of your body/prevent injuries/etc.?

I’m proud to say I’m the oldest player on my soccer team—and still one of the fastest! Staying healthy and injury-free is no accident. I prioritize the fundamentals: staying current with the latest health and performance research, eating clean, getting 8+ hours of sleep each night, and surrounding myself with a strong support network. I also make time for regular check-ins with a mental health professional and keep my alcohol consumption low—did you know the latest Canadian guidelines recommend no more than 2 drinks per week? Taking care of your body means taking care of your whole self: physically, mentally, and emotionally.
