Another successful candidate for our Food Safety class. She got 100%!

Our Journey to Trades 121 students spent the day with the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades Union (IUPAT) at our most recent Day in the Life event.

Students learned about the trade and the union, picked up tips and techniques from experienced painters, and put those skills to work around the WBF Training Centre, freshening up a new closet space, classroom pillars, and the tool crib.

Thank you to IUPAT for spending the day alongside our students and sharing hands-on learning right where it happens. Partnerships like this help open doors to skilled trades careers.

RISE UP is back for 2026!

What is Rise Up? - Rise Up will engage and support urban Indigenous young people, ages 12-30, to participate in volunteer opportunities that develop relationships, build leadership skills, and create a sense of belonging and connection while advancing youth education in and related to UNDRIP and the TRC 94 Calls to Action.
